That one ball gives rest of the team confidence to just whip it in for big AC.

I think Gerrard brings the best out in Dirky Kuyt aswell, not a fan myself but i would play Kuyt with Carroll and Stevie on the pitch. His work rate will help out and he likes to stand the ball up, although he can't cross or pass consistently or shoot for that matter Mr Scuffy he can chip the ball in the box.

They said on the commentary yesterday that Carroll ran back to tell gj to get the ball in more, we saw what Gerrard came on we saw what the right delivery can do, if Carroll can isolate a centre half and a good cross comes in he should win the majority of balls, also with Suarez movement he should pick up dome second balls from Carroll, some accuracy on goal would help too

Carroll has missed at least 5 easy chances this season before the Newcastle game, Gerrard will be our best provider, but let's not pretend that his absence is the only reason Carroll has struggled.

Gerrard will certainly create chances for Carroll, but whether he takes them is a different matter all together.

Carroll couldn't finish a portion of chips if they were handed to him on a plate!
