Players and Manager need to get a grip

We can always blame managers but the players today were absolutely shocking. Drogba looked as bad as ever, Torres was bright but never touched the ball, Mata was on-off and Sturridge was non-existant. Luiz done okay but Bosingwa left him too much to do, who the fk was closing down Ireland for Petrovs goal, thats why Luiz was out of poisition, not knowing wheather to Close down or stay back.

Cech looks awful, did he expect to save the bent shot with his legs!?

And now AVB, not saying sack him but what was the point of Ferriera off Bosingwa on, we crumbled in defence and without Romeu our defence was cack.

Lampard must never complain about being dropped ever ever again.

AVB has a lot of work to do, we are in a worst position now than we were in before Valencia.

Here's the thing, AVB stated that he chose to keep these players and he believes in them, he picks the team, he decides on the style of football and the shape of the side, he makes the substitutions, so what part of that is the players fault, we can see some of them can't play the way he wants them to and yet he still picks them or won't change his playing style to suit the players he "believes in" at every stage he is the guilty party.

Look at how City play: Give the ball straight to Silva, why oh why do we keep going to Ccole and Bosingwa, why not be more direct, the fact that Torres's only chance was when he was playing in midfield says it all. If torres was in that Liverpool team, he would surely have around 15 goals with Suarez behind him.

So it's AVB's fault that Ferriera got skinned for the first, or Luiz left a massive gap in our defence for the second?

It's AVB's fault Ashley Cole got skinned as easy as you like for Fulham's goal?

It's AVB's fault Bosingwa/Cech couldn't deal with Spurs for their goal?

I could go on.

You need to get a grip

By picking Ferriera against N'zogbia what did he expect, Bosingwa would at least offered some space, Ferriera may be good vs Bale but i thought AVB was good at looking at the little things, i thought he was good for stuff like this.

He had all summer to correct the squad but he does it in mid-season.

Revolution

Players have let Chelsea down, but AVB is in charge, picks the team with Ferriera,Luiz and Bosingwa,so he must take some blame.
It is a joint effort, our current failure on the pitch.

Yes! he picks the team!!!!! he sets the way we play!!!!
get a grip? open your eyes my friend. The players might be poor, do you expect them to go to his office after seeing the team sheet and say sorry boss I don't think I'm up to it.

What was most annoying was that teams know they can just defend against us and get a result, this reminds me of the Scolari erea, andone man returned to rescue us...

It seems the players had their mind on the festivities tonight. Because I did not see a single player giving an effort to win the match today. Players looking for handballs in the box instead of ACTUALLY trying to score pretty much showed me where the players minds are. Putting little effort to get a result. The whole team really laid a stinker tonight. From AVB, coaches, to the players.

and I refer you to this comment from him. I decided to keep the players we have even though I could have changed them, I believe in these players.

TheRevolutionWillNotBeTelevised

A couple of seasons ago you would be shocked if those players made those kind of mistakes two or three times in a season. Now it's happening practically every game.

Either the players have passed their sell buy, which AVB should have addressed. Or the tactics aren't playing to their strengths and leaving them exposed, which AVB should have recognise and changed tactics accordingly. Or the players just aren't 'up for it' which reflects directly on AVBs motivational skills.

Quite why he's persisted with Drogba god only knows. I think Kerry Dixon could pull on his boots again and put in a better shift than him.

As the season goes on we seem to be going from bad to worse and unless the manager stops cutting of his nose to spite his face and actually changes his approach then goodness knows where we will end up.
