Can't bring myself to finally drift off (something of a recurring problem) so I thought I would treat you all with a nice little stat for when you wake up. If I continue to struggle falling asleep this might become a regular thing.

Yakubu netted his 11th and 12th goals of the season with only his 19th and 20th shots on target against Manchester United on New Year's Eve.

I love the guy. If the 2-1 win at Old Trafford in 2005 was Pedersen's victory, then this one has to be attributed to Yakubu more than anyone else. Didn't get the winner but was an absolute collosus up front.

Someone on one of the Rovers facebook page actually said that Yakubu is the most overrated player in our squad

I know 1 or 2 people who are still chirping similar things. No doubt they're the fans who called him fat, old and lazy and branded him an awful signing when we first bought him. Too pig-headed to now change their opinions.
