Starting XI vs City

by LFC... the hardest club to follow. (U11488)

I think we need to go with a rigid 4-2-3-1 to control city`s midfield.

Reina

Johnson. Agger. Skrtel. Enrique

Spearing. Gerrard

Maxi. Bellamy. Downing

Suarez

I think gerrard and spearing should be able to control silva and yaya toure.
Johnson and enrique have enough pace to keep up with adam johnsons and aguero`s runs and trickery. Skrtel and Agger should keep Ballotelli/Dzeko in their pockets. If all of that goes to plan then we have enough pace i.e downing,suarez, maxi and bellamy to hit city on the counter and nick a couple of goals.
If Kenny gets his tactics right I reckon we could get something here, but by no means will it be easy!

If you starve the supply to Aguero half the job is done in that respect but Balotelli is the more dangerous as he's so unpredictable to mark

I can't see Bellamy starting this one with his knee problem after starting against Newcastle.

It would be great if he did, but I think Kenny will use him as an impact sub.
