Interesting statistic regarding the amount of shots taken by the below players:
RVP 76
Luis Suarez 69
Rooney 59
Considering RVP is on 17 goals and Rooney is on 13 .... Just confirms how badly Luis has wasted his opportunities.
On the plus side there is much more to come from Luis and eventually these shots will go in by the brace.
Coupled with the amount of chances we create per game, I am not overly concerned like some on here.
We forget Gerrard, Adam, Maxi, Kuyt, Carroll, Johnson - all have goals in them.
Wastefulness

I think it's just that he hasn't played that long in this league.
Plus Rooney and RVP are being deployed as clinical strikers (Berbatov's strike rate comes to mind it's probably better than them) whereas Suarez is being used as various types of attackers.

................
RVP yes, Rooney no. He has played in midfield twice and more often than not behind the main striker.

We have created the most chances in the pl but scored one of the least amount of goals, that sums up our season so far for me.
As long as we continue to defend as we have done we will be ok, scoring the chances will be the difference between top 4 and 5th or 6th though.

I think Suarez has been forced to drop deep to much trying to create goals as well as score them. Tonight it would be nice to see him lurk around the penalty area a bit more.

Aggers, spot on.
He has had to create his own chances this season, at the detriment to his end product.
Imagine if he had the conversion rate of RVP, we would be sitting nicely in 3rd!

i hate these comparisons!!!
Why dont they compare Suarez with RVP and Rooneys first full seasons in the prem!!???? then see the difference :/

Well said Aggers
And he keeps 3 defenders busy, creating space for our players.

I think he has been watching the cross bar challenge on soccer AM to much.
