Eh ? I don't get this.
They slam Suarez and the nation say that cultural differences aren't an excuse - so why are the powers that be looking to further this scheme.
This tells me that the PFA agree that the schemes in place now aren't satisfactory. So maybe they need to look at themselves as to why Suarez 'supposedly' used an unacceptable term.
See article below (from bbc)
The Professional Footballers' Association is looking to introduce cultural awareness sessions for players in the wake of the Luis Suarez saga.
Young players already attend such sessions and the PFA is now looking to extend this to senior players.
"This is something we are seriously looking into. It's very important," said PFA assistant chief Bobby Barnes.
"Players need to be aware of what is and isn't acceptable. These sessions have certainly benefited scholars."
Suarez was banned for eight matches for racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra at Anfield in October.
The Liverpool striker had claimed a defence of cultural differences, saying it was commonplace to call people "negro" in his home country of Uruguay and that the term was not offensive there.
Barnes played for West Ham in the 1980s "It's very important that players, especially foreign players, are aware of cultural differences and of the different buttons that will upset people in our leagues," former West Ham United winger Barnes told BBC Sport.
"It's down to the clubs and ourselves to educate players about this."
Scholars at Premier League and Football League clubs currently attend PFA workshops about diversity, at which they are given examples of unacceptable language.
"This is a changing world," said Barnes. "When I was playing, it was deemed acceptable to describe black players as coloured or half-caste, but it isn't now."
Blackburn striker Jason Roberts, a member of the PFA's management committee, told BBC Sport it was crucial that players coming to England were educated about what was and was not acceptable language.
"He [Suarez] should have been educated," said Roberts. "That's certainly something that's come out of this.
"If you're going to come and play in the Premier League and live in our society it's important that you understand the rules we abide by."

PFA Introduce Cultural Awareness Sessions?

Basically when the FA give a verdict the scousers like we don't hear any complaints, I for one didn't notice this legion of scousers rushing to Evra's defence when he was convicted on similar ground (one mans word against another)
Predictably though when it happens to Liverpool it is a conspiracy and once more Liverpool are the victims.

What was Evra convicted of?

I cannot remember what the actual charge was but it was involving the scuffle with the Chelsea ground staff.

On 5th Dec 2008, Evra was found guilty of four separate counts of improper conduct by the FA:
a) Mr Evra pushed the Chelsea head groundsman with his chest (as was admitted by Mr Evra)
b) He struck Mr Sam Bethell, a groundsman at Chelsea, on the side of his head
c) He subsequently, ie after the previous incident had begun to calm down, ran back to confront Mr Bethell again (as was also admitted by Mr Evra)
d) Then became involved in a further physical altercation with Mr Bethell.

e) his evidence was found to be exaggerated an unreliable.
Now using the barometer of probability, his witness statement is believed categorically, despite stating he was called an offensive term 10 times.
He also escapes punishment for being abusive towards Suarez, despite Suarez being punished for being abusive towards Evra.

So you accept the FAs decision that Evra was unreliable (in that instance).
Do you also accept that Suarez's evidence is unreliable in this instance?

This one was bought by Ferguson and United... the Evra one was the FA standing up to the big bad United... for once!

Strange isnt it how all the Liverpool fans accept the FAs verdict on Evra, but not Suarez?

Over the years Liverpool have grown accustomed to supporting the various harsh sentences the FA have handed out... it must be very confusing for them to be against one so vehemently for once...
