If a judge in a court case has personal knowledge of anyone involved in a case he has to step aside.
---------------------
Ouseley wasn't involved in the case, nor was the Kick It Out organisation. So there is no conflict of interest in that regard.
Nor is Ouseley involved in any internal administration of Manchester United Football Club, just as the likes of Eamonn Holmes are not involved in any internal administration of Manchester United Football Club.
As Chair of Kick It Out, he is absolutely entitled to comment on this case however. That doesn't mean his opinion is biased, or because of his involvement with the Manchester United Foundation that there is any conflict of interest. That is nothing but a rather crass allegation that has been created by Liverpool fans as an avenue in which to discredit his comments in regards to the Suarez-Evra case.

Rather not agreeing with the claim that there is a conflict of interest.

The simple fact Ripley is that this man is involved with Manchester United and obviously is biased in their favour, which explains the vitriol he came out with. He has abused his position as chairman of the Kick it Out campaign, to spout his vitriol, without anybody knowing that he is involved with Man United.
This involvement means he has a conflict of interest and has abused his position to get at Liverpool.
Now the world knows that he is involved with United and can disregard his disgraceful comments.

Sorry TOOR, it doesn't explain the "vitriol" he came out with. It just gives you an excuse to dismiss his claims.

To be honest Tommy everyone can see that there is a conflict of interest, some just won't admit it though because it doesn't fit comfortably with their viewpoint.

Or rather it's easy to say there is a conflict of interest because that sits comfortably with your own viewpoint...
