Cesc at Barca

Watching the Barca match today and it's pretty ridiculous how much Fabregas stands out.
Obviously he's a brilliant player but his first touch and general movement with the ball just looks so much less "slick" than the rest of the Barca players!

It's crazy to think that Arsenal are easily the best footballing side in England yet after 8 years (?) with them Fabregas's style can look so distinctly English in comparison to Barcelona.

This isn't a negative view to Arsenal, but more a testament at how good the entire Barcelona's squad technical ability is.

Having said all this, Espanyol were superb last night, fully deserved a point against a lacklustre Barca!

Fabregas is Barca's best player after Messi. When we sold him for £35M I thought they mugged us, but watching the way he has fitted in for them so quickly and has become such an important player, it was more of a bending over the bar and pummeling us while 100s of people gathered around pointing fingers laughing at us, rather than a mugging.

People need to remember that Xavi while a special player wasnt all that in his early years and has got better every season.

I expect Fabregas to get better and Better and his technique whilst still excellent will get even better playing with better players.

its true, but david villa is the same. Lucky for cesc his brain and vision make up for it.

Goes to show why players like Silva and Mata stand out here but never in spain.

The PL, doesn't have many technical players.
