aqulilani is a great player. i know its a bit pointless making this article now but who cares. i think we need him to stay in the summer. there's no doubt in my mind that he is worth the 20million we paid for him. especially when you compare that to the 20million we paid for downing and henderson. he is undoubtedly better than charlie adam and they are very similar players. he would provide us with some much needed quality when gerrard is not fit. we rely too much on gerrard and suarez for creativity. gerrard won't be fit half the time and then we'll become a one man team. aquilani is just another quality player that we need to have in our squad

Yeah I think he's a top notch player and he's only said he wanted to leave because of the way we treated him by barely playing him. Think we should at least try to convince him to stay.

I doubt we ended up paying the £20m for him as most of it was performance related for the player and the club so I believe. Lets face it the club has not performed and he only played about 15 games for us.
When his loan finishes he will only have 12 months left on his contract (I am sure it was a 4yr contract) so we need to sell as he does not want to play in England.
He is a quality player and I would love him to give it another go but it wont happen.

In the 18 games he played for Liverpool, he fully justified the price tag, crashing in 1 goal and inspiring them to 7th in the league.
