what have you read on the net about it ? heard a few hex core processing, windows 8 built in , lcd in joy pad and tablet control, ati to make a dual processor and graphics chip and games disks to be hvd or blue ray with more sorage on them .

I can't wait to see the specs on both systems. Strange people have allegiance to one over the other. PS3 edges out the 360 on power but I think as a pure gaming standpoint, 360 took the cake.

Before it was always Nintendo for me, until they decided to stop making proper games and instead focus on crappy party games (console) and what not. Their Wii U or whatever its called doesn't appeal to me either....Microsoft it is.

I also think its strange that people have allegiances to one, people already saying they won't give the next Xbox a look in and will definately be buying the PS4, when neither have even been announced yet
At the end of the day, these companies just want your money, having any kind of loyalty is just plain stupid, if you're investing a couple of hundred pounds on something (or even more possibly) you owe it to yourself to at least make an informed decision rather than blind loyalty.
I always owned a Sega Megadrive as a kid, and am very grateful I switched to Nintendo and bought an N 64 instead of having allegiances to Sega and buying the dreamcast in the late 90s.

Couldnt agree more - i am a video game lover, hence i buy everything i feel i will need or use. I have no affliations especially when lets be honest - there is pretty much 0 deifference between an xbox and a ps3, just a few dedicated brands that only appear on one or the other.
Havent got a PS3 atm but will buy one soon as a) need a blueray player and b) i want uncharted and GOW3 and HD remakes

I buy whatever system I feel is the best at the time and for me currently that's PS3.
All the games on 1 disk (Bluray) compared to games like La Noir on 3 disks on Xbox. Or you have to download extra content to play HD etc (BF3).
The TV streaming and Web browser etc did it for me.
If Xbox 720 is better than PS4 I will buy that.
