The Pole That Danced

Disclaimer: This is not an attack on Nige just thinking of what might have been.

Oh Tommy Cywka
Rumours round Pride Park whisper
Some say you said somet' 'bout Nige's Mum
Others said you pulled a Liam Dickin-son
Were you tired of hearing the words "track back"
did they pi$$ on the fire that made you attack
We remember the dancing of your feet
More famous than a Robbie Savage Tweet.

Chorus:
He was the Pole that danced past them all
but then he went n lost the ball
Nige Said
Posession's 9/10 of the law
'N so of Tommy we saw no more
But still we remember the October run
KFC,You and Bueno in a
4-2-3-1

You used to take them all on for fun
with that famous Cywka run
If they stopped you you'd go to ground
as if you'd been shot by fifty rounds
Win a free kick, show off a trick, or two
Oh Tommy what'd they do to you?
We remember you stepping inside with aplomb
In the days we weren't scared of 4-2-3-1

Chorus:
He was the Pole that danced past them all
but then he went n lost the ball
Nige Said
Posession's 9/10 of the law
'N so of Tommy we saw no more
But still we remember the October run
KFC,You and Bueno in a
4-2-3-1

Oh Tommy Cywka
Think we're gonna miss ya
The Dancing Pole
The 25 yard goal
Then you got lost in the deadwood fire
along with Pringle, Martin and now Chrissy Maguire
But I guess what's done cannot be undone
are you going back to Wigan or Poland or wherever you came from?
Wherever ye may be Tommy good luck my son
n I hope we never play you in a 4-2-3-1

Chorus:
He was the Pole that danced past them all
but then he went n lost the ball
Nige Said
Posession's 9/10 of the law
'N so of Tommy we saw no more
But still we remember the October run
KFC,You and Bueno in a
4-2-3-1

In the days before it all went wrong.

Lights fade on Clough with his arm round Tommy's shoulder as Cywka ponders the triple hatrick he would have scored against the Forest had it not been for the injustice of Frank Fielding's sending off.

I'd like to wish Tomasz all the best for the future and I'm sorry it did not come off for you at Derby.

Good luck wherever you finish up.

Thanks lads thought I was on for a 1 star rating there. I would like to take this opportunity to formally open this thread up to other literary contributions to the great man too.

Brilliant, made me chuckle, brings across the unknown element of what went wrong between him and Clough as well.
Maybe we are only allowed only 1 creative player in the team these days !

When you think back to what Bywater 'created' in his garden, that's probably a good enough reason to minimise creativity.

True, that was certainly the start of his demise
