Just been reading this interesting article from the bleacher report. It covers our mounting frustration with Andy Carroll's abysmal form.
From what I've read it boils down to not so much a lack of service but the wrong kind. Carrols first headed goal came against Man City last year, and who was the man who put in the assist? none other that Raul Meireles who put in a dipping cross for Carroll to score.
Since he left how many crosses have we seen being whipped in at pace by the likes of Downing and Adam? it doesn't seem to suit a player with a lack of mobility like Andy.
Surely Kenny can see this and needs to adapt out play if we are going to get some goals out of our 35m man.
Quality Service for Carroll

lol, if he wasn't that good a crosser why did he take most of corners when playing.
He was the only decent corner taker we had besides gerrard, and he often took as many stinkers as good ones.

Stoke, Blackburn, Wigan, Swansea, Norwich and Sunderland.
All draws where we had chances to win. Twelve points!
But amazingly that would leave us seven off the top, behind United and in a scrap for CL qualification still.
We have to accept that the top three have got a lot better.
Successful teams make up for their striker misfiring by scoring from other positions and that is not happening.

Andy Carrolls problem is not the service he's getting!
Andy Carrolls problem is the fact that he's useless! It's really simple.

I say that we sign Negredo!

I still think we are failing to play to Carrolls strengths, he never going to be the fastest when the ball is delivered in dipping he has time to muscle his way in. That's how he scored a lot of goals at Newcastle.
Meireles is a clever player and new what cross to put in, he has assisted Carroll more than Downing.

Andy is the only player in the box.
It's him v 3-4 opposition players.
Even with good service, the chances of him beating at least 3 other players to the ball are practically nil.

I wouldn't mind seeing another powerful forward signed to partner Carroll, I hope we get Castaignos from Inter on loan.

I reckon the solution to Carroll problem is simpler than most people think.
Here are a couple of solutions.
Kenny has a chat with Terry Mac who worked with AC at Newcastle and finds out whats the best way to utilise him.
Or even simpler, have a word with Liverpool fan and AC's best ,mate Kevin Nolan. Kevin Nolan's deliveries for Newcastle helped AC score goals.

Its Nagredo.
Here's a few alernartives. Moussa Sow and Luuk De Jong.
A player I would love to see at Liverpool is Ibrahim Affeley. He's not getting much game time at Barca, as he has Pedro and Alexis Sanchez in front of him.
