Balotelli charged with violent conduct, Lescott not charged.
I don't even think Balotelli meant it however, as its such a grey area and given his personality, a ban was inevitable.
But Lescott!? C'mon! The guy may as well have been boxing!
But of course, he's English and hence, can do no wrong...
Proof that the FA are clueless

Jesus, even the replay makes you cringe. Hope Parker's alright.

Clueless...maybe
Vindictive and Biased? YES most definitely.
Makes Rooneys elbow on McCarthy last year even more baffling and also his assault on the Montenegro player

Balotelli should probably get a 10 game suspension. He is a great talent but, as always, he is an accident waiting to happen. Maybe Man. City will step up and realise that they have a responsibility with regards to this guys "on-field" conduct?

I know it is fun with the tin foil hat on but Rooney did get a ban for the tackle against Montenegro and it has been explained hundreds of times that the FA aren't allowed to deal with a situation the ref has already dealt with, so Rooneys yellow meant they couldn't ban him...
Did you see Ballotelli get a card for his kick ?

They both look deliberate to me.

'FA aren't allowed to deal with a situation the ref has already dealt with'
the FA can just change their rules to make them more reasonable

Balotelli did mean to stamp IMO, just probably not on Parkers head, not that that's an excuse of course.
I agree that Lescott should also have been charged.
I'm also at a loss to fathom why no other team has been charged with failing to control their players despite a number of obvious cases at least the equal of the case raised against Liverpool earlier in the season

Peter Reid they could change their rules, the fact they didn't change their rules just to punish a United player doesn't make them biased though or vindictive.
