This site has got me addictive in the last week or so with this week being by far the biggest of our season. Anyway i'll get to the point.
Now, i feel sitting back for 90 minutes will be the biggest mistake we could make but if we take the game to them with our pass and move style, we can cause them problems.

This in my opinion would be our best possible team for tonight, Spearing will be vital, we can't have Adam playing in that role because he get's found out and we need players who can get around the pitch tonight i.e. no Carroll.
A lot of people will say - Johnson right midfield ? but doing this will make that side stronger defensively and Johnson is more than capable of beating his man, getting shots away and has pace to burn.
Bellamy is just a class act full stop, he is a threat in behind so City will be scared to push to high a line and this will make it harder for them to control the game.
I think Downing is due a big game and if he's confident enough he will give Richards a difficult night.
I really think the game will be decided by Kenny's selection and tactics:
Bellamy & Spearing have to start
We can't be doing 5 at the back
We have to go 4-5-1
Adam & Carroll are not mobile enough for a game City will take to us

Totally agree with you scouseking5 .... a positive start from the lads is the key. Downing and hendo needs to pull sumting outta their socks tonight.

Kelly is not experienced enough to play RB in this game, not when Johnson is fit anyway and Adam plays well with spearing alongside him.
So I would say, Johnson at RB, Hendo RW and Adam in the middle
