Town Travel the 63 miles to the Wirral on the back of three wins, filling most fans with rejuvenated optimism about the second half of the season.Tuesday night results could have been better but Mk Dons losing was a bonus. It's tight at the top with only goal difference separating three teams, with the league leaders seeming unstoppable at the moment, but in my opinion they can be caught.

History: (league)
Town have played at Prenton Park 21 times with 13 losses,4 wins and 4 draws, scoring in total 17 and conceding 37 times.
Tranmere are one of our bogey sides and are currently 9th place on home form, where as we are currently 3rd on away form.So on paper it looks like interesting game.
Where to drink:
The Prenton Park Hotel, which is situated about 20 yards away from the visiting supporters turnstiles, is popular with away fans. Otherwise alcohol is available in the away end'.
There are also a number of other pubs in walking distance of the ground. The Mersey Clipper, behind the Main Stand tends to be for home fans only, whilst The Sportsmans Arms on Prenton Road East is more welcoming towards visiting supporters. A little further away is the Swan Pub on Woodchurch Road, Prenton, a good 20 minute walk away. Away fans are welcome and it has the added advantage of having 96 car parking spaces available, which are either free or have a small charge levied that can be redeemed against a drink at the bar.
All fans please note, it is a criminal offence to drink alcohol on the streets of Birkenhead, you may find yourself being arrested if you do.
Also the pubs will be busier due to Liverpool playing Man Utd in the F.A Cup with a 12:45 kick off.So the natives will be out in force so be on your guard
How to get there:
From M6/M56 join the M53 and exit at Junction 4 and take the B5151 Mount Road from the fourth exit of the roundabout (the ground is signposted from here). After two and a half miles when Mount Road becomes Storeton Road, turn right into Prenton Road West and the ground will be visible on the right hand side.
Or alternatively follow the M62 west bound until it finishers, beware of the 50mph speed camera at the end of the motorway, then follow Edge lane until you pick up signs for the Birkenhead tunnel, get as far over to the right after exiting the tunnel and you'll pick up brown signs for Tranmere Rovers, follow and park up on a street where there's space.Or use one of the official car parks, usually 3quid? Ch42 9PY is the postcode for sat nav users.
It costs 1.50 to get through the tunnel too, change is available at staffed booths, highlighted in yellow.
** Edge lane still has road works so be wary of your timings if you're going this way(Myth)**
My team:

Hunt Morrison BOOM BOOM Woods(if available)
Cads/Mcdermott Gobern Arfield (If available) Ward

Tranmere:
Have two new signings James Wallace(Everton) )and Lateef Elford(Wba) both midfielders.Les Parry has stated in today's local paper that he wants to bring in a striker for the match,as scoring goals have been an issue.
