One of the headlines of the year so far:
'Redknapp Writes Like A Toddler'*
Apparently, he's still picking the team for their FA Cup tie. Wonder if he'll be writing it down??
*Really? Why on earth would he claim to have the literacy skills of a 2 year old? I wonder.......

Chicken - I believe, in banking parlance, the transfer of funds into a bank account - or similar institution - for storings ones 'money' is still known as a 'deposit'.
======================
Thats where you're wrong. A "transfer" is a transfer between accounts, a "deposit" is where you deposit money into a account.
Its not rocket science to be fair.

If your employer puts money /pay in your bank, even if it is deemed as a "deposit", it is a deposit made by the employer, not you.
Mandaric deposited money in HRs account.....not HR

Monetary funds were 'deposited' and credited to his account. Whether transferred between accounts, the adjective is still appropriate and grammatically consistent in this sense.
To be frank, it's not brain surgery...
