We hear alot about how Bellamy doesn't have the best of knees, and can't start every week. I would give the guy a rest, and keep him for the more important game, which is Wolves. I would go with Spearing in this game, someone who can break down United and protect the back. Carroll isn't really improving, and Kuyt deserves a chance to score another hattrick against the mancs. Gerrard has played deeper recently, but I want to see him getting forward again.
To be honest, im fairly calm for a game against United. They have major injuries, and were at home. If we win, then what a week of football for the club. If we lose, we can concentrate on the league, and have a Cup final to look forward to.

Think you all know im not kuyt fan, quite the opposite but if we have to play him it has to be right midfield.
He was pretty damn good vs City probably the best i have seen him play all season, i think he has reacted to KK's comments because i think he knew he was under performing and right after landing his new contract i think he knew he had to have a look at himself in the mirror.
if possible i would play the same 11 from wednesday, i doubt it will be and we will see some players being rotated.

I wouldn't put Dirk upfront. We've struggled to create chances when he's up there alone Especially without Bellamy's pace to support or run in behind. I'd try Carroll, Evans doesn't convince me, maybe he might have some joy. I'm also hoping Downing will follow on from a decent performance midweek.

Kuyt upfront was a joke last time i saw him play that role, he is now best for us RM no doubt about that anywhere else he is useless. His best game of the season vs City on the right keep playing him there we have no right mid anyway and he protects glenn well.

Morgan hasn't got a chance of playing. In such a high calibre game it would put huge pressure on the lad. Perhaps if we don't sign anyone, Morgan and Sterling, maybe even Suso would be able to get cameo roles between now and May. I fully expect Sterling to push for a place next season when he'll be 17/18. I think the present day is too soon for these three though.

If the last 2-3 games are worth nothing (hopefully were still in contention for top 4), then the young lads can get a game.

Kuyt has to be in there just for his shear workrate,seciond to none.
Also has a knack of being in the right place at the right time v Utd
