What a great end to the week. We've dumped both manc teams out of the cups and I couldn't be happier. It wasn't an amazing performance but we won and that's all that matters.
We didn't play as well as we did on Wednesday, but we did what a top team should do and that was grind out a result and we did that today. The fact that we beat united has made it all the more sweeter.
To all those opposing supporters that were giving it the big lips, you can put that in ya pipe and smoke it. And if stiggy is about you'll know that you don't wanna touch that pipe, but having lost today, I feel those pipe statistics have just gone up on moss side. Unlucky boys. Good game, but you weren't good enough on the day.
Now I hope we don't go and undo all that good work by losing or drawing with Wolves. This could really kick our season on. Lots of confidence can be taken from both games and I really hope the boys keep it up.
Well done redmen and everyone who supported today, great atmosphere created by both sets of fans.
To round off, I have to do this, Aaaaaahhhhhhhh have some of that. Your boys were well beaten whiskey nose. Back up the m62 with ya tails between ya legs. Boom!
Well done redmen!

As soon as Kenny got rid of his terrible tactics when he replaced Carragher and Maxi and put Downing on to the left, we started playing well. I just don't understand why he did it. Tiredness could be a factor.

The team did indeed look tired, especially the skipper. His passing was not as good as we have come to expect. I suspect he was just trying too hard, and for that, he deserves full praise. On reflection, Kenny did the right thing in subbing him JimmyTheRed

The subs changed the tempo of the game even more in the 2nd half. The team came out fired up for the last 45mins. I love SG but could see he was tired, so good on KK for his tactics.
