Goodie going Cardiff ?

Reports today saying that Cardiff are intersted in signing Goodie, I for one hope that he goes to Cardiff rather than rangers.

Don't talk rubbish westcoast, I was perfectly happy with Houston when he was picking the right team and tactics. Unfortunately that was a fluke and he turned into an awful, negative manager with no ambition or confidence about his players.

Just a shame we have such a dull, negative support otherwise we'd have better than this clown in charge and be getting more money for one of our top players.

I'm having doubts about you hobo. First it's houston, now it's the united support. Interesting route you're taking.
Offer realistic options, stop being negative all the time or stfu.

You're still not getting it - I'm the one saying the team were better than they showed last season and that we should be getting more money for Goodwillie - yet somehow I'm negative?

It's folk like you that keep the Old Firm at the top. Perhaps you're one of those mafia agents Romanov talks about...

And you're the one who condems Houston and now the supporters.
Come on then, and I know you've been asked this before (and didn't answer it)- who would do a much better job than Houston?
P.s. You do go to the games don't you?

I'm only having a go at the negative supporters.

I have answered it several times, please don't make things up. As I haven't interviewed any potential replacments then I can't say for definite who would be better, but there will be plenty out there in the lower leagues as I refuse to believe that they are all worse than the totally incompetent Peter Houston. John McGlynn and Barry Smith both seem to be two good managers in the First at the moment, Sheerin did a damned good job at Arbroath last season too and I'm sure he wouldn't be so utterly hopeless to think Morgaro Gomis is a right winger. Thompson should be looking at these folk and some others, as we can't continue with the baldy moron in charge. Our season ticket sales are down 15% and the fans are going to vote with their feet, even though they don't know it. You don't stick with someone rubbish just because of the fear you won't be able to find someone better - that's what marriage is for!

And yes, I do go to games, which is exactly why I'm not happy with the rubbish Houston serves up. Don't be so childish.

Mcglynn, smith or sheerin! Sorry, none of these guys are proven at spl level. In his 18 months in charge we've finished 3rd & 4th and won a cup- so a better manager would improve on that! You're saying one of those 3 could do that- get a life! Next you'll suggest jimmy calderwood!

Drunken

Its all very well saying that the lower league managers would do a better job. Ian McCall though is the proof that you need more than a good record in the lower leagues.

I think we should enjoy the present. When we had Jim McLean in charge that was the norm. After he left we won the SC got relegated, promoted, just survived by the skin of our teeth. Bottom of the league when Levein and Houston came in. Now look at us. You just don't seem to appreciate what we have at the moment.

If this is you now, I dread to think what you will be like when we are suffering a downturn in fortunes.

The rubbish houston serves up...... the last game i went to see at tannadice we strolled to victory 4-0 over another top 6 team who did have one eye on the cup fair enough, but we played some fantastic football, the last two seasons have been our best back to back finishes since the late 80s, just dont get you at all hobo??

Right, so let's all base it on the last game.

We've had the best team since we've had since the 80s, built by Levein, that wasn't Houston's doing. He then won the cup and finished 3rd playing brilliant football. But last season, for whatever reason, he decided that the 4-4-2 formation that got us 3rd and the cup wasn't good enough, reverted to awful football, 4-5-1 tactics, flooded our own midfield, stunted our attack and weakend our defence. The man doesn't have the slightest clue, he got incredibly lucky in his first season that the injuries forced him into playing the best system, no chance we'd have finished 3rd and got the cup if his bum-chum Scott Robertson was fit.
This season he even dropped Dillon who won player of the smegging year playing at centre-back and replaced him with a not-even-half-fit-Severin! It's as if he was deliberately trying to mess us up, yet you're all too blind to notice!

If you are honestly happy with the majority of performances, selections and tactics last season then there really isn't any point in debating with you as you clearly don't have the slightest clue about football. No wonder the likes of Houston gets to keep his job when there are so many fans that'll clap every mistake he makes. Perhaps Vlad isn't so mad after all, and folk like you are agents of the Old Firm mafia, keeping incompetent morons in charge at non-Old Firm clubs...
