Re: Smudger
In that interview he said he was a Leeds fan as a kid, and Batty was his hero. So where have all these statements come from recently that he was a Liverpool supporter?

I'm pretty sure there was a documentary on Leeds academy players and they interviewed Smithy as well as some others. I can remember seeing him sitting there, this shy little kid with his hair lopping over his face, saying he just wanted to be a footballer. And I'm sure he had a poster of a Liverpool player on his wall amongst others. That's maybe where it came from.
I knew someone who worked with his mum in the early 2000s and there was no doubt then he was Leeds.

I remember a programme where he went away, was it Lilleshall? Got homesick and couldn't get back to Leeds quick enough.
I think he was always a Leeds fan and listening the other day I reckon he still is.

The original Harry Ramsden's fish and chip shop at Guiseley near Leeds has been saved from closure after being taken over by a competitor.
The Wetherby Whaler group is planning a £500,000 refurbishment of the site to add it to its chain of outlets.
Now that's positive!
