howdy, i just found this fantastic blog on the rams finances.
everything in the past few years are explained.
i'd like everybody to please read it, and give your opinion, only after you have read it.
i understand GSE and the 2012/2013 tv deal a little bit more now.
i'm still undecided, but, i'll admit, GSE are running us how a club should be run, and not peeing money up the wall.
grateful for EVERYBODIES comments when you have read it.
have a look.

DERBY COUNTY'S FINANCES EXPLAINED

I'll have to read it in stints, it's a bit long! But it does look from what I have have read, GSE do look to be getting the finaces straight, even if the global brand hasn't appeared yet!

Oh look it says.........In fact, there have been a few contradictions in GSE’s approach. One moment, they unassumingly talk of producing incremental improvements from their “knowledge of best practices in management, marketing and selling.” The next moment, they’re shouting the odds, “Our goal is to become the best-run football club in the world. I’m not sure Derby could be a Manchester United, but it could certainly be in the top six or seven of the Premier League.”
(Contradictions) no $#it

It seems like we are in a very good position for the FFP rules coming in. I read the article the other day in the telegraph and thought it was going to be interesting to see the penalties for clubs falling foul of the strict financial rules coming in. They are meeting this month to set some of the rules/fines so lets hope those running out of control are punished accordingly.
The accounts for last year will show if we are running a tight ship or still sinking in the quick sand like the majority of clubs in this league!
Interesting times ahead I think

Wassa,
Derby don't look as bad as state as Rangers

Wassa- losses on players, only 2 profits in the last 6 years, ( including the prem ) losing millions every other year. No further parachute money to balance books.
Yet you cling to one point in the article. No surprises there! Lol
Better to build sound foundations than build on quicksand!
Did you also see previous board took £16 million out if the club takeover? Of course they only did it for the love of the club!!
