Pompey will be deducted 10 points next week. That will bring them level on points with you, a lifeline for staying up and will ensure cotterill is there for next season when he does keep you up

Sheep- well our season is over so I thought I might as well try and cheer you lot up. I actually think you will stay up
Webbo- very interesting point. We basically have to go up next season because of how much we have spent otherwise IMO the owners will be off....

"Then we only have to finish above Cov and Donny"

Even if Pompey are deducted 15 points they still have a fighting chance of finishing above Forest.
As Marco says I've always wondered how Pompey can sustain a squad like they have when essentially they've got no money.
Not that I'm going to start lecturing on financial probity.

Even though i would never wish administration and points deductions on any team, my loyalties lies with forest and we need every help we can get to stay up. I't be in a different light being a pompey fan but the rules are in place to stop teams from freeloading they're way up they're way up the table.
If there is a deduction we can only hope that its enough to help us.

I would have a lot of sympathy for the fans if i thought that the club was in danger of going out of buisness but admin and points deducted doe's not seem to have greatly affected clubs in the past.
Seems like the worst that can happen is a drop down the leagues, that could happen to any club whether they take the mick or not.

Well let's hope that Doughty's Estate doesn't pull the plug on you...

unfortunately, portsmouth look a significantly better side than us.
they have the character in their squad to pick up enough points to survive a points deduction imo

You’re possibly right, but the reason for this is that Portsmouth have recruited and retained players despite going into administration with the result being that they go into administration again.
I’ve got no love for Forest, but they shouldn’t be penalised for cutting their cloth when others haven’t.

i only agree with this up to a point. if we go down and portsmouth don't, we didn't go down because portsmouth were cheats, we went down because we were rubbish. if we'd taken care of business we'd have no reason be that interested in portsmouths problems.
there's enough in the squad on paper to be around midtable, i can't blame portsmouths financial practices for our players lack of effort and basic fundamental skills this season

Everyone laughed at us whilst we were cutting our cloth

Personally I'd rather stay up on merit than another team losing points keeping us up
