Valencia injury......

Valencia is due to be out for roughly a month . In recent times, i have learnt the rule of three. Whatever our medical staff say, triple it and then you have your real lay-off time! Anyone think we will see Tony again this season??!! Please god I hope so, been great for us

Re Hargo

I think Bobby has almost eluded to the fact that United's medical team were right about him after all.

It has become fashionable to gripe about our medical team. The complaints about them are based entirely on speculation. How many of you are qualified physiotherapists or surgeons? How many of you are party to the medical records of our players?

We've had our worst spate of injuries for a long time, plus a soundbite from a somewhat embittered Hargreaves after he was released by our club and desparate to prove he still has what it takes.

Is this really enough to conclude that our medical staff are incompetent and somehow fail to follow the best practice procedures that have been developed and honed internationally, disseminated through peer-reviewed journals and taught at the leading universities and medical schools? If they were, it would be a scandalous negligence on the part of the club in terms of failing to protect its assets. The cost of a world class team of physios is a tiny part of the budget of a major football club. Why on earth would our club have anything less than the best money could buy?

Vidicschin, not Hargreaves, of course not. He belongs on the treatment table.

I mean Cleverly was meant to come back few weeks ago, likewise with a few other players over the last few seasons. Maybe the Medical team expect players to come back quicker than they actually should.

I think that Cleverley might have tried to come back to early from his ankle injury. Maybe that is down to the medical team, possibly more down to Tom.

When I saw that tackle from Davis, and to this day, I still have no idea how he wasn't sent off, I thought it would be a season ending injury.

Cleverly is not the only player in recent seasons. Wish I could remember the other few players who have been expected back early, but then it took another few weeks extra for them to return to first team action.

I'll see your Cleverley with Anderson who came back 6 weeks earlier than expected.

I'm sure Rafael and Fabio were meant to return sooner but ended up being later. If that makes any sense at all.

Wasn't Clev an ankle ligament? I've done this myself and it's very difficult to know when it's ready to go again because it feels fine and a little bump results it you being back to square one. And I had an ex Wolves physio on mine.

Look at Wilshere at Arsenal, he was supposedly only gonna be out for a couple months with an ankle injury and now it's the entire season. Every injury is different and every play will recover differently, it's annoying when players don't come back on the date expected but that isn't always the fault of the medical staff. I remember being surprised at the quickness of Valencia's recovery last season from such a horrific injury.
