Booing on Saturday?

"Sam Allardyce's side were booed by sections of the frustrated Upton Park crowd on Saturday" from more than one source. Really, I was at the game and I honestly didn't hear it.

Could you hear booing on the Sky coverage? I'm not saying West Ham fans never boo their team but Saturday if there was any it wasn't from near where I sit.

On to the game, first half Palace had the best of it.

I think tactically Noble was wrong to swap ends as this meant the sun was in Greens eyes and Palace knowing this put in long shot after long shot, I generally prefer attacking that way first half, but a decision needs to be made before the game taking the weather/sun level into account. I'm not just blaming the sun however, I think Palace played us well, where so many teams have sat back, willing to soak up pressure and take a point the Eagles push forward playing a high attacking line building pressure and not letting West Ham settle. I was happy to go in level at half time.

Second half.

I think West Ham edged it, the change of personal (Vaz Te was having his worst game so far for us) helped and we were a little unlucky not to convert one of our chances.

All in all a draw was probably the fair result.

Apart from long range shots Palace parked the bus.

I haven't heard any boos on sky.

I heard 'boo-ing' on Sky bud. Surprising really as your'e top of the table! We came out of the blocks quickly and maybe that surprised Sam and his tactics/team talk(?), who knows.
I thought our performance 'as a whole' warranted a win (as we were the away team and i'm biased ) but before the game i expected the worst.
We're a good side on our day so i wouldn't look at it as 2pts lost, just a tricky game out of the way.

Good luck with promotion

No quite sure we had 21 'long range' shots

As for the singing.............i'm like you i guess, i had my 'rose tinted hearing aid' in as well

I enjoyed the game bud. Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination but a hard/fair fought game.
You'll be fine for promotion imo

Play-offs!!!!
Your'e more optimistic than most of us bud. We're just glad to stay in this division after the past few seasons but i appreciate your wishes.
Zaha and a couple of other youngsters may be off this summer but hopefully our Academy will keep the conveyer belt going.
Enjoyed the chat maybe we'll catch you in the Prem one day.
