Reaction to Saturday

I haven't had internet access for the last few days and I come back to see West Ham have taken over our board!

Did anyone see the game? We looked good in the first half and I think if we had the finish touch (good fortune) we showed against Watford we could have got another 4 past the hammers.

What's everyone's thoughts?

Anyone going to the family day on Saturday?

Hi bud.
Enjoyed the game (Sky) and thought we could've nicked 3pts but overall i'm happy with 1pt as WH are a strong team, promotion 'certs' imo, and we were away.
We should've made our possession count in the first half but equally i was happy with the performance over 90mins. Rob Green 'MoM' say's it all.
It makes the Bristol City result look even worse though! Oh well.

I had Talksport on yesterday morning and I heard Mickey Quinn saying that he went to the game.
He saw it as West Ham not being able to break down Palace who went there to defend and called it a 0-0 bore draw.
I saw it as something completely different.
I watched on TV and was impressed with our performance and thought West Ham were no better than average. At times, especially in the first half, we out-played them and we looked the better team for a lot of the match.
I was a pit peeved to hear after that West Ham really thought they should have won it. I think they are deluding themselves that they only have to turn up to get three points. I can't see them being promoted automatically to be honest as they aren't any better than the chasing pack.
Chatting to a hammer in the local yesterday who went and he was full of praise for us and he said we took quite a decent mob up there and there was great singing from them.
I think the West Ham fans are generally more gracious than their manager and players.

It's a bit annoying as well that if we had made more of a fist of a few earlier games, then we could have been a part of that chasing pack.

I watched it on Sky as well and don't understand how anyone could think we "parked the bus". Even the commentators said we were the better team and had more confidence to attack. In the first half I think it was

Shots on target
WHU 0 - CPFC 4

If anyone was parking the bus it wasn't us!

It's encouraging to see that we seem to have got over our poor run and playing some good football. I don't think we'll make the playoffs but with some (dare I say it) "easier" games coming up hopefully we can secure a top half finish.

Why worry about infantile remarks made by a few ill informed fans who obviously were not at the game, as that thread was posted at 13:00 Saturday and the individual who made that comment posted during the game.
