"The game should have been over (at 3-0) but they've been a bit naive, not sensing danger as a team and as individuals, and that has cost the team dearly."
"Since i've come in we've dropped four points this week which is hugely disappointing because we could have been in a fantastic position. But you can't keep shooting yourself in the foot if your going to achieve over a course of a season."
Simon Grayson's comments after Huddersfield let a 3 goal lead slip against the mighty Bury after letting a 2 goal lead slip against the mighty Stevenage earlier in the week.
Sounds so familiar to his comments whilst at Leeds after letting leads slip v Preston etc.
I believe Warnock will get much more out of the players than Grayson did.
Deja vu

SKB, for me, I'll always look at SG as a bloke out of his depth. And that makes it all the more painful to look at the squad (in hindsight) that he had at his disposal.
SG got lucky with Macca's squad and his luck continued.
If I didn't know any better I'd say he has polaroids of a Leprechaun in compromising positions. That's the only explanation for him getting as far as he did.

two games in charge , not scoring a goal and only getting one point and, suddenly on the back of one performance we are promotion certs.
un-believable

Norwich were only better than us because of their manager.
They took Johnson and Howson, and wanted Snodgrass, to add to a midfield that finished 14 points above us last season.
How can you call our performance against Reading a magnificent display?
They didn't turn up and we didn't do enough to beat them.
Stop going around wiping Grayson's a r s e!

Norman, one difference: we now have a REAL manager.
Yes, that's unbelievable that a club of this stature had to cope without a REAL manager for the last 3 years.

Reading were in amazing form when we played them and the performance we gave was exceptional.
Midfield was obviously a strength for us and they didn't end up keeping Henri Lansbury so taking an out of contract player in Johnson to offer some physical presence was a wise move. Then getting an attacking player like Howson in on the cheap due to his contract situation is also clever. Whether Howson is better than Hoolahan though i am not sure.

batty-it seems you have a very short memory , time will tell whether Warnock is a "real" manager but i for one appreciate what Grayson did for Leeds.
In the time he was in charge we achieved play off place, promotion and then a seventh place finish last season AND the victory at old trafford, not bad for a non manager. lets see Warnock win a game first before we get carried away

1st 12 months-
Grayson picked up 102 points in his first 46 league games. He set new club records regarding wins from start of season and wins in a row at Elland Road.
next 6 months-
1-0 victory at Old Trafford the last win their with a clean sheet by any team. Draw at Spurs. Disappointing league form but got over the line and won promotion back to the championship.
Next 6 months-
Very good start back to championship life and no worries of relegation. Up in the playoffs at Christmas.
Next 6 months-
Draw at the Emirates, but once again league form suffers and too many draws. Beat Forest possibly as a result of a red card and open up a 4 point gap with 7 games to go. End result is we bottled it.
Final months-
Badly let down by Bates and leaving us just 3 points below the playoffs was a very fine effort.

spot on Sir Keneth, doesnt look such a bad manager looking at your post, nothing against Warnock has the right pedigree ,just surprised at the constant sniping at Grayson.
Warnock could do well with the right backing but lets win a game first before we think about promotion.

NORMAN HUNTERS TACKLE
Agreed i am happy that we've got Warnock in as the manager because he won the league last year so is certainly capable given the right backing. Puts pressure on Ken Bates though, because there is now an even bigger expectancy by fans to be challenging in them playoffs next year. If we don't progress next season the proportion of fans against him will be considerably larger.
Bates blamed Grayson for this years "failings", who would he blame next? Probably the fans saying less revenue meant we couldn't compete.
