FT: Sunderland 1 Liverpool 0

Liverpool's faltering league form continued as they were beaten by a determined and dogged
Sunderland side.

After a forgettable first half, the Black Cats took the
lead when a Fraizer Campbell shot rebounded off
the post and keeper Pepe Reina's head before
Nicklas Bendtner side-footed in.

Liverpool brought on Steven Gerrard and Andy
Carroll but to no avail.

Sunderland sat back and protected their lead
against a Reds side which failed to come close to an equaliser.

You know what I'd do? I'd bring Rafa in as manager and keep Kenny as his assistant.

"All chances on target against us go in"

- Hits the post
- Bounces off his head
- Hits the post again
- Falls to Bendtner at point blank range

To be fair to Reina he was on his feet when it fell to the striker and covering his left handside; the most open part of the goal

Robert

Who would you rather have at the helm now, Rafa or Kenny?

Did we ever play as bad under Rafa as we did today?

====================

Of the two I prefer Rafa as a manager, but it's KK that's got the job and he has my full support while he has.

Both of them working together would be a dream ticket for me, but these things rarely work out eg Evans & Houllier.

Did we ever play this badly with Rafa?

Yes but rarely.

Fortunately the memory has a tendency to block out pain...........
