We need to act

Let me start by saying that seeing Kenny back at the club has been lovely, a blast from the past, and a reminder of our former glories. Winning the Carling Cup was fantastic for the club after so long without a trophy. But the football we are playing is not getting us anywhere fast. Kenny's tactics and substitutions are dated. His signings have been nothing short of terrible. For all the wonderful memories he brought us as a player and then a manager, this is not Kenny's era. That was the 80s and 90s. Football has changed a lot, and Kenny has not adapted.

That's why we need to make a change in the Summer. And there is only one man for the job. Rafa, for all his faults, was a fantastic manager, and those who doubted him must surely look at how even Kenny is doing and regret doubting Rafa. Him getting us to 2nd in the league when the Yanks were in charge was nothing short of a miracle. On the whole his signings were excellent, and he brought us many happy memories. We must move to get him back - before Chelsea snap him up.

I should add that this is NOT a knee-jerk reaction. The build up of several months of average football (only one league win this year ) has led to this.

That performance was horrendous.

I need to see how the team perform in the remaining eleven games to see if I agree or not.

We were outplayed, out fought and out thought. Not one player did themselves justice today, not one, maybe bar Reina. Enrique was dreadful and Charlie Adam had me reaching for a drink - he was utterly hopeless.

Kuyt offered nothing as did Carroll when he came on. Only Gerrard and Suarez provided and urgency to our play.

Kelly as well has disappointed me. Anyone who thinks that he's anywhere near the level of Johnson is mad. Technically he isn't great and he looks more of a CB than a RB.

The derby has now become a massive game for Kenny. Lose and the voices for Rafa will increase.

As I said, for me Kenny has eleven games to turn this around, but on today's performance and result it looks an uphill struggle.

He ruined us with his terrible signings.

Reina, Lucas, Kuyt, Alonso, Garcia, Agger, Skrtel, Torres, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Benayoun, Johnson

Just saying.

The owners won't have the sentiment we all have and they will sack him if we continue with this run of form this season.

It just gets worse. It started in the summer with the wrong signings. KK and Comoli have a lot to answer for.

Will they dare, though? Do you tell God he's not been performing enough miracles?

(I know Kenny isn't God, but in Liverpool playing parlance, he is. Or would be, if it weren't for Robbie Fowler)

He started off well and ended terribly, then carried on his madness at Inter and hasnt been emplyed since!

He played like 6 defenders plus Lucas and Mascherano. Our only attacking players were Kuyt, Gerrard and Torres. Do you really want that again?

I didn't watch the game today but to be 6 points ahead of about 14th, with the money spent on our squad, is just not good enough irrespective of domestic cups.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been poor this season and we are still miles behind them.

Imagine if they both sort themselves out in the summer?

We will be 20 points behind the top 5 at that rate.

I too don't think Rafa is the answer.

You can count on 1 hand the number of returning managers who have done well 2nd time around and Rafa didn't even do THAT well the first time. He was a good Liverpool manager, not a great one.

We need a fresh young manager with new ideas and an attacking philosophy, who is adept at bringing through young players into the first team.
