I once saw one who was 9ft tall, 7 ft wide and other measurements as well. They generally consume 200 lbs of raw meat in one sitting and can run at speeds of up to 21 mph. If you see one, make loud noises to scare them away.
And for the record, there was no intent to use the hand in the box. In my book I'd say it would be too harsh to give a penalty for that. Good decision ref.
