I hope they keep Kenny so we get to LAL as long as possible

There are problems at LFC, similar to at CFC. You have players who just aren't good enough for the club, and owners who have recently invested without really getting value for money. (Aside from Suarez, Enrique, Mata, Luiz) Both sets of fans probably feel quite guilty suggesting heavy buying, but it needs to happen.

In addition to all that though, Pool have the problem of the manager.

Fred Bassett

Says how he see's it

Good on you Fred. Normally u get over sensitive posters like Aggers Elbow who call you plastic when really its him who's blind.

Ps I've wanted him out ever since his shambalic defense of Suarez.

I actually don't like to see clubs sacking managers at the drop of a hat...but in all honesty, I think Kenny has lost it tactically.
I would prefer if he left of his own accord. As a player for us he was legendary, but he is too stubborn as a manager to see when things are not working and change them.
Or maybe he just doesn't see that some of the players, he bought, and his tactics are not good enough.
Either way, it is a worry!

i would think Kenny is wishing like hell he had left at the end of last season having turned Liverpool back on the right track, he seems to somehow have undone all of that good work.

Siempre, where have you been fella, long time no hear! KD is our manager and I will support him, but not blindly. Our current team/squad are or appear to be totally devoid of any confidence. The managers fault? No, I don't think so, but of they are too tempremental then things have got to change. Will KD be there next season? Despite the doom and gloom, there is still that possibility. Let's wait and see what the owners of our club decides. jimmyTheRed

Hi Jimmy, I am still chilling down in Malaga. It would be easy for me to find amusement in Liverpool's predicament but to be honest I don't. Of course you could end up with two cups and United win nothing so now is not the time to gloat anyway. I have heard that Kenny offered to resign around Christmas time so I wouldn't be at all surprised if he left willingly at the end of the season and another manager is already being lined up. I am sure you would rather see such a club legend as Kenny leave with his head held high with at least one cup rather than suffer the humiliation of being sacked. I think the owners owe him that at least.

John H is no fool, he couldn't afford the heat if he were to unceremoniously sack KD. No, if there is movement, KD will move upstairs and a younger manager brought in. Early days yet. JimmyTheRed

I do think the game has moved on a long way since Kenny had his success as a manager. Not least, it has become much more global and worldwide scouting contacts are required. I thought that was what Comoli was for, but Kenny's signings have largely been domestic which is what he knows. If Liverpool are to win the league they need to move on. Obviously I hope they don't lol

I can't fault the logic of that Siempre, other than to say the 'buy British' tag given to our summer purchases in order to escape any ban by EUFA hasn't worked, nor has any appearance of beginning to work. In the meantime, your aged manager, yet again, is playing the mind games again! Is there a cure for that? jimmyTheRed

People argue against the knee jerk sackings off managers and to a degree I agree. I wouldn't sack Kenny because we won't finish top 4, I do think that a complete lack of progression in the team and a worryingly sharp downturn in performances mean his position should be under intense scrutiny.

A manager can only stay as long as the team are moving in the right direction, something I don't see right now

i. You need Barry Fry, Macca.

ii. Jimmy; no, there is no known cure.

iii. Siempre; just back from watching RCD Mallorca suffer a most unexpected shock defeat at the hands of Barca.

i tried going to malaga a few seasons ago but just couldnt get into it because i couldnt really care whether they won or lost, the fact they wear blue doesn't help.
