Maybe its because bitter little plebs like yourself are actually stopping people having any craic at all. Any post you make is negative , you have a personality of a breeze block and you just proved what kind of person you are by your post on this thread. The guy was up for some football related discussion and you come off with a statement like that. Grow up wee man.

Back on topic - I really think Healy is done and i havent a clue who could fill his boots at the minute. Just hope there is a youngster waiting to take over his mantle in the coming years.

ALEX: Thats the way it is, Im afraid. When the EXREPs(Extreme Republicans) have their warped opinions dismantled by sound logic and infusions of the truth they invariably resort to VIOLENT words or deeds. Sadly, I think its going to take a long time for them to change, the brainwashing was systematic and relentless!

Hey everyone! I'm here. I think we're a little unfortunate in the way Martin Patterson has suffered badly with injuries. I really thought he could be the answer to our goalscoring troubles but has been injured a lot. Still relatively young though.

As for our long term prospects, it's just a case of giving the new manager a chance and hoping we slowly but surely make progress. You can't polish a t<urd>, so I am not expecting miracles from what is an incredibly tough qualifying group. All I hope for is some spirit and determination from our players. And for our new boss to encourage them to attempt to play a bit of football now and again.

Patterson showed a lot of spirit and commitment against Norway. Never stopped running all night! We've got a potentially good defence, though they sometimes under perform usually when the players are played out of position. What we need is a midfield enforcer and a decent striker. Things will improve when Lafferty comes back especially if he can form a striking partnership with one of the others, egt. Patterson, Shields, McQuoid

Morning folks. I'm new to all this so will try to stay ON topic. Personally i would like to see the 2 up front being Lafferty and possibly Little. Not because they play for Rangers, but because I think they could forge a decent partnership. I was very impressed with Shiels against Norway and would like to see him playing behind the front two/ central attacking midfielder. The negative, sit back and soak up pressure, tactics simply don't work. I'd rather we lost by a couple of goals and gave it a real go going forward than sit back and lose by a couple or more goals anyway. Would love to see McGinn down the right wing with his pace, Brunt (if he can be bothered putting any effort in) down the left, Davis and Clingan in front of the back 4 etc etc. Just my thoughts though.....

WHATWASITHINKING: "Id rather we lost .......or more goals" >>>>>>>>>> I couldnt agree more! I agree about McGinn and his pace. Why didnt he play against Norway? Was he injured?

Reiver.

Glad somebody agrees with me about something for a change!! Not sure what happened to McGinn against Norway. I can only assume O'Neill was wanting to expirement with different type of players, which is something I'm more than happy to see during friendly matches. Everybody knows we haven't the largest pool of players so why not try a few different things. I would love to see Jeff Hughes getting a recall as well. Some would say he's 'only' playing in league 1, but he seems to know where the goal is and also sets up chances for other people. With our small number of players, why not give him another chance??

WHATWASITHINKING:
Regard myself as a diehard NI fan, but am ashamed to say I dont know who Jeff Hughes is. Anyone who is finding the net, even in League 1, deserves consideration as we plot the downfall of Antigua etc.
