I agree with some of your points. RVP would get into our first team. Wilsher and Song, might make a claim.

Szcesny is less of a player than De Gea, Koscielny (whom i like) is not better than any of our current central defence options. And Arteta might make the bench

The Sagna of a year ago maybe but I like Rafael better, he has improved a lot.

Szczesny is a good young keeper but so is de Gea.

Koscielny (and Vermalen) are over-rated by Arsenal fans, both decent defenders but not better than what we have.

Song is ok and Arteta wouldnt work in our two man midfield. Wilshere might be ok but lets see how he is when he gets back to fitness.

Some of the player comparisons on the earlier thread were laughable.

Would you consider Jones to be a CB option? I'd say Kos is a far more polished player than him

I forgot Sagna, he is just barely better than Rafa atm but Rafa is young.

Personally, i think Song is overrated by many. He is quite a marvellous box-to-box player, a rarity in the modern game. And he has often done well against us, had Rooney in his pocket a few times when we played them - though we often won.

Jones has had a decent season considering hes been played all over the pitch.

A fit Gibbs would trounce Evra.
Arteta is a great player but he is one of the best players available for Man Utd. If he went to Man Utd he would be considered the new Scholes (nothing to do with the goals today). Song on the otherhand would not, SAF wouldn't be able to put up with all his mistakes and laziness.
Sagna would obviously get in the team.
If Wilshere is as good as before he would also walk in the team.

Lets face it, both are equally likely to happen.

There is no reason why Verm and Kos can't either to be fair. Vidic wasn't that good before injury. Rio is pushing his luck, Jones is a joke, smalling is good i like smalling and Evans is underrated. I think if SAF had all the options he would have to go Kos and Verm.

I can understand your point but I think when you don't watch all 90 mins of almost every Arsenal game then you can't really appreciate a defender like Kos. I suppose its the same with me trying to judge Evans, Smalling, Jones etc.

Gibbs is nowhere near as good as Evra either. Absolute joke to suggest that.

Ok, I dont but when I do Im not convinced about Kocielny or Vermalen. If I had to choose one it would be Vermalen, Koscielny just looks like an accident waiting to happen...

Szczesney, koscielny, sagna, wilshere and rvp would all start for utd. Verm, song, Gibbs, ox, Walcott would be pushing for starting spots. No one can disagree with this as its fact.

Koscielny is easily better than any of your centre backs. He's better than Vermaelen as well.

Don't let a few decent games fool you. Evra didn't become a bad player overnight.
