1:2 Bummer

Lockwood again gives away a penalty, just as we were looking capable of a winner. We are just our own wortst enemies. 1-2 Charlie Austin.

Its a sad day yes but thats football geared around promotion and relegation, its not the end of the world.

Saunders been reading the forums? Read that squad suggested somewhere before?! Have all the loanees been sent back? Cut our losses i think and start planning for league 1 i think.

Dumbuya a noticeable absentee, is he injured? Unhappy? Unpopular? Smell funny?

How very kind of you to send your sincere wishes for our future. Smell the roses, it could be you next season. Anyway, once again, many thanks.

well i suppose that is the cast set, as they say... it is sad, but what a great time we had in the championship.
but lets start looking to the future, where we can hopfully be fightinh the other end of the table, albeit a league below. but no matter which level we play, I shall always be behind my team, through thick and thin. so lets try and finnish the season on a high and come out fighting next season.... I don't share your optimism 1. We were crap at the end of last season and have shown little sign of being any better this time. We have no money, no-one to sell, no youngsters coming through, a board that seems to be imploding and a loss making ground that we don't even own. We also have a manager who just brought on John Oster at 1-2 with four plus minutes to go - to get us two late goals. What's that song again?

I agree with you Albirossi.
We've been carp for 2 seasons, the writing was on the wall but we ignored it.

I am concerned about the future.

Says a lot that after 4 seasons in the championship we have today fielded a side that looked remarkably similar to the side that we played with in league 1. I'm affraid we came up in to the championship without any plan of how to stay there. Had fun for a couple of years, but then the inevitable caught up with us.

The lack of a championship plan is down to the board and the manager who got us here. That's about all I have to say about that.

Finger crossed we now have a plan to stay in league 1 or we could go in to free fall.

I heard the teams was playing for contracts for next season today (and for the rest of this season). On todays efforts I'd keep 4 of them, Friend, GIllett, Robert & Brown. Woods also did alright. No chance on either goal, but pulled of a couple of great saves. So add to those 4, Woods & Spurr. We still need a lot to give us a team.

Well the team today was virtually SOD's team, some might argue that that is why we lost!
Lots of good possesion but when we get to the final third it seems that we run out of players who can either play a killer pass or a forward to get on the end of one.
If Sharp had played for us today he wouldnt have made a blind bit of difference.
What i dont like is the SMALL section of so called fans who boo'd Oster on to the pitch.
Whatever you think of him as a player, he is one of ours.
Anyone in the red and white shirt should get the full backing of the fans when they are on the pitch.
NY, you say that yet again Lockwood gives away a penalty.
How many is that he has given away then?
1NFCRover - You are right about us having a good time in the Championship, it isnt defeatist to say that.
As i have said previously, not many people expected us to last more than one season up here and we have done four.
Only two more home games to see us in this division, perhaps for ever.
Maybe we will come back in future but as everyone knows nothing is certain in football.
Why some people go to games i dont understand, walking out with fifteen minutes to go just because we have gone 2-1 down.
We were always going to be up against it in this division, we all knew that.
I can take a defeat on the chin and will be there next season, unlike many who were at the game today.

Hound

I didn't mean Loxkwood had given op ANOTHER penalty, I meant Lockwood had given up another penalty. In other words he had given up another team penalty. It's just one more way we shoot ourselves in the foot.

Hound,
100% behind your views on booing and leaving early when we are losing, they seem to follow like sheep.
I have just listened to Deano on the BBC and he was whinging on about injuries "just about everyone in the team are injured at the moment" That excuse was not acceptable to many of the Sean out group and its not acceptable to me now. Sean had 14 out of 28 injured so whats new Deano! You are only judged on results and because we are bottom it tells the story.

Ahh Alex, but to the 'So'D should still be here' brigade, it should be a perfectly good excuse.

For me it doesn't (and didn't) wash with either. Our fate was ultimately sealed a number of years ago when the club apparently refused to move forward and stuck to an ageing & injury prone squad of league one quality players who were only going to deteriorate in their ability.

The sooner this debacle ends and we get our clubs identity back, the better. If that means being a league 1 or 2 club, so be it.

On the booing of Oster, totally agree, it's disgraceful. Personally I don't rate him, but I still wouldn't boo him. If I did, I'd have to boo half of the team 'cos there's a few others, O'Connor, Barnes, Barndoor & others who have been as bad this season
