Parker and Hart are the media darlings, and are probably the two most overrated players in the country
Aguero has been brilliant.
Though for me Parker is heavily over-rated.
It used to be that Parker was under-rated and never got a mention, now that people recognise the player he is hes over-rated, ive always liked him, he would have been a great signing for United summer past..
Krul Ba Coloccini all worthy.
So aguero, who has 28 goals and assisted ten goals in his first season in a new league shouldnt be up for the best player award? Ok then.
How Kompany, Evans and Valencia could be left out is beyond me and shows how truly idiotic the composers of the shortlist are, they are clearly biased towards City but they don't even have the right nominees for City, Aguero is fair enough, Silva has been far too inconsistant this season, the layers they should have chosen for City this season are Kompany (the only player to remain great for them throughout the whole season) and Richards who has made a big imrovement this season, Joe Hart has made numerous blunders this season so how he makes the list is beyond me, if a keeper were to make the list this year then the only one deserving of a mention would be Given but imo no keeper did well enough this season to get a mention, Vorm and Krul made some good saves but all around they aren't great keepers.
Depending on how the rest of the season goes my winner could change, a month back Van Persie would have won it for me but he hasn't scored or been great in the last few games so I'll judge him at the end of the season, I would give the award to Kompany atm, with Young Player of the Year going to Bale though he shouldn't count tbh, Welbeck would come in second place and Walker in 3rd. If they had a Most Improved player award (which they should) then no doubt Evans should win it.
What has parker done that carrick hasnt?

Lots
Vorm and Krul made some good saves but all around they aren't great keepers.
How isn't Krul an allround great keeper? Great at coming for crosses, great shot stopper. He only needs to improve his kicking.
Says it all when our 2 best players this season aren't nominated, yet Rooney is. Krul not being in it is a joke tbh, a lot of people have been saying Vorm, but for me if it wasn't for Krul, Newcastle wouldn't be near the CL places if it weren't for him IMO.
You guys realise the PFA awards are nominated in January right?
And it is the players themselves who vote, so 'media darlings' or not, the player who wins is the one who the footballers believe is the best.
i can only assume scott parker is nominated because he has a daft hairstyle. silva's a dubious one as well as he went missing when city need him most.
Carrick should be in it. Valencia has only shown POTY form in the second half of the season, and Evans had a shaky start as well.
For me:
RVP
Krul
Aguero
Carrick
Kompany
Rooney
Ba very close behind.
carrick and valencia are both more worthy of a place than parker and silva.
For christ sakes guys, Parker (and Spurs) were brilliant up until the new year, which is when this was voted.
Anyone who thinks aguero shouldnt be there should go wobble their heads.
First season in a foreign league and look at the impact he's made.
Sessegnon has been great for the mackems this year. Outside chance Id have thought.
I think my 6 nominees would be: RVP, Silva, Aguero, Rooney, Bale, Ferdinand. Parker just doesn't do it for me and, while Hart has had a great season, I think others contribute more to their team's overall performance.
I don't think any Utd player really deserves to be nominated tbh other than Valencia and Roo.
Carrick and Parker have both had good seasons but neither has been spectacular. I don't understand the comments about Hart as I think he has had a great season.
For me it's RVP for POTY and Aguero for young POTY.
Rooney would still have been nominated even if he'd spent the last 12 months in a Chinese prison.

A panel picks the shortlist... and the players vote on that.
