Lastnight basically sums up hazard for us, it’s just cos he got the goal that people are praising him finally. Literally had to be our ball carrier, creator, hold up player, and goal threat on his own on a big Wembley pitch. If we can get adequate players and even a game changers around him and Kante we can do bits next year

Belgians talk alot. I take what they say with a pinch of salt.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alternatively because they are much more candid and open than most players during interviews, take what they say as indicative. Especially when the message is consistent and plausible
The message is also consistent with the majority of Chelsea fans views:
They want better quality players and better quality football
Players have well and truly left the ball in the club’s court. We are soon to learn if those running the club actually have anymore value to add or if they should sell out to someone who does.
I think Marina is good at the actual negotiation process. But it's the targets identified which are the issue.
Nope, I definitely take with a pinch of salt as what they say changes every week.
No consistency to what Belgians say usually.
Courtois for example...initially claimed that it was about the money being offered, then moved onto wanting to be with family (in Spain), now that's a non-factor. Many other things which I can't remember.
Both him and Hazard constantly moving goal-posts.
They're just saying what we fans want to hear right at this moment, to deflect away from what they've said in the past.
See through right them.

Thank you Conte and goodbye. We shouldn't have too much of a problem attracting a good manager and good players, we are winners and players want to win
I hope Chelsea go the way of Liverpool. Good coach, attacking football. You have some superb young players, some superb senior players - buy a top top striker and a top top centre back and give a good coach time! Conte - nice man, boring football.
My issue with Conte is not just the reactive/passive football played but multitude of errors which a supposedly top manager shouldn't be making.
Untimely subs, rotation, neglecting and discarding perfectly good squad players (never embraced or extracted the best/most out of squad resources available) then whinges about squad depth.

spot on. Apart from strikers, Chelsea have a fab squad, easily good enough to finish above Liverpool and Spurs. Tactically though - weak!!
Bakayoko has saved his skin in the last month or so. Deserves another season IMO to prove himself
Has he? Not sure. Tiny performance gain.
As it stands...I'd still be inclined to sell.

Hopefully what ever happens it's not going to take up the entire summer.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists he won't walk out of the club after winning the FA Cup yesterday.
Conte insisted that he remained committed to seeing out his final year at Chelsea after his FA Cup win - but appeared ready to accept his fate if he is sacked in the aftermath of his Wembley victory.
He is expected to learn his future this week, after a season in which relations between manager and directors has been seemingly at perpetual breaking point.
"After these two seasons I will always love this colour, these fans, this club," said Conte. "Also if my future must be in a different way.
"I have a contract and I'm committed to this club, despite a lot of speculation. One day I had the possibility to go to the national team, one day this team, one day another important team. In every press conference I always say I'm committed to this club, to respect my contract."
Conte - "After two years the club knows me very well,"
"If they want to continue to work with me, they know me. I can't change. My way is always the same: hard work and to build a strong mentality with my players.
"I can't change. I'm this. I'm this and I think my past speaks very clear as a player and as a manager. You can say what you want, but I'm a serial winner.
"I showed this in England in a difficult moment for the club, after 10th place (in 2015-16). I've showed this also today, because we found the right way to win this trophy.
"I'm very happy for the players, I'm very happy for our fans. At the same time I'm happy for the club.
"The decision to charge me (with the job), in two seasons I brought two trophies for this club."
"There is also this possibility (that) with this group of players we did the maximum.
"I have great respect for my club. For sure we'll make the best decision. I'm the first to accept every decision for the future.
