Mendy €48m
Militao €50m
Jovic €60m
Hazard €140m?

Note that I'm running under the assumption RLC won't be back until the tail end of next season.

GKs: Kepa, Caballero, Blackman
FBs: Emerson, Alonso, James, Azpilicueta
CBs: Luiz, Rudiger, Christensen, Ampadu/Tomori
CMs: Barkley, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Kante, van Ginkel, Mount
WGs: Pedro, Hudson-Odoi, Willian, Pulisic
STs: Abraham, Giroud

We could easily keep Moses or Musonda as a backup winger for 3 months with CHO injured, and there is plenty of debate on here about Zouma.

But whatever, my point is we could raise £300m including Hazard, and still have a squad full of young players that will probably miss out on top 4, but will be in a prime position to be built on with big signings next summer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That squad looks very weak in midfield and attack to me. In midfield I would trust only two out of those six players starting against a top 8 side. And that attack seriously lacks goals and creativity. Who do you see scoring 15+ goals out of that lot? Who will be getting assists? We're essentially relying on Pulisic hitting the ground running, CHO getting back up to full speed straight away and Willian/Pedro not declining at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We need to play well as a collective.

and speak for yourself, I see two highly rated young players in our midfielder, an experienced Barkley and two top class midfielders in Jorginho and Kante.

As for lacking goals, how would you know? Abraham has a teriffic goals record in his career. Pedro and Willan averahe around 10 a season and CHO has been very promising. Giroud is a great all rounder. We could always keep Batshuayi who has a very good goal record despite his other limitations.

I am being realistic, we can create a good collective side that will probably finish 6th but have a basis for being great with the addition of more dynamic full backs and a world class striker.

We’re barely into the month of June and Real have already spent £250m. They’re gonna need to make some big sales to comply with FFP

Npe if you think those types of players are available every summer that’s up to you. I disagree

Personally I'm not that bothered about missing out on any transfer targets this summer. We need to look at this ban as an opportunity to decide which one of our many loan and youth players have a future at this club.

The only area that concerns me is up front but we have Tammy Abraham to come in. We have an abundance of talent on our books, let's see what they can do. Preseason is going to be really important this summer.

And even if we could buy players I'm not sure I'd trust us to buy the right ones. We'd probably buy a couple of gash £30 million players and and really expensive flop striker from abroad.

Maybe this transfer ban saves us from ourselves.

Yeah my main concern is the board fecking up the window if we do get one. But I’m encouraged by the recent signings of Kepa and Jorginho, hopefully moving towards a policy of improving the first team and hopefully no more Drinkwaters

Don't know who our manager is...

Don't know if we are able to buy anyone...

Don't know when two of our best players will be available. ..

Don't know if Cech will be any good in his new role....

Roll on the new season eh...

Also people act like it’s signings or youth, doesn’t have to be. With the right manager we can bring in first team signings and still give academy players plenty of chances to play.

Our best academy players are injured for the start of the season anyway and may take a while to get up and running again when they’re back.

This season can not be viewed as the be all end all of youth integration. I’m worried that if some academy players are introduced and don’t do all that well this season then fans and board members will then write off youth forever.

It has to be an ongoing process to actually give them the chance to reach the top level, can’t just give them one season then write it off if they aren’t great straight away.

Next season should be the start of an ongoing process of integrating academy players, not the start and the end. And IMO it would be better to give them room to grow in a strong squad rather than throw them in the deep end with a weak squad, expect them to carry a large burden and then chuck them if it doesn’t work.

More realistic than Ndombele.
