I have never looked at Willian and thought he was a lazy player. I have many times that I question his stamina over 90 minutes as his performance level always seem to drop off at around 65 minutes into a match...

but that is not laziness

He's always been a bit lazy to me. This year his workrate has doubled but like you say has stamina issues. There's been several occasions where fans were asking if willian was even bothered to play certain games. Willians form the last month or so has been fantastic though. When was the game where he got his first goal biggish? I thought he was average to say the least but grabbed a goal, and has since then not looked back, his performances have been excellent and hes a welcome addition to the young team. Over the moon for him because use to be one of my favourite players and then kind of blended into the background the last two years.

Willian’s work rate was excellent in his first couple of seasons. Somewhere in between he stopped playing with the same intensity. His cameo against I think United or maybe Liverpool this season was really lethargic, however since then he is not far of playing the best football of his career.

It does help that he's got some healthy competition for the wide positions now. He's had to up his game. Just hope he maintains a decent level over the season.

Yup all our "wide" players have been fantastic as competition is strong.
Pulisic, willian, mount when he's played there, and cho will start to improve.

Yeah, not sure Willian has had that level of competition here before in the wide positions. Reece could probably just as easily play wide right as well.

Just reading further down that article is Pep seriously trying to convince people that his "thank you so much!" comments to the ref at the end of the game wasn't sarcastic ??

And no punishment for it either . It would have been less insulting for the ref if Pep had grabbed his head and farted in his face

If pep gets punished, the ref should as well. I still think they should replay the game

I think had we got a result(should have)at home to pool, and var wasn't a completely balls up at the weekend, then we would have been close - maybe 6/7 points off at end of the year.
