Dayum, just saw the Poch news. He'll go to Utd next then for sure. Spurs will go for Jose which will be an entertaining car crash.

It is a bit odd timing for this Poch sacking. Towards the end of the international break. I haven’t read much into it but wonder whether it was a sacking or whether mutual agreement to just part ways, with Tottenham’s party in the knowledge they can get Jose, Poch with the knowledge he has many top clubs to choose from.

Great manager and did a great job for them but his position was untenable with them for a while, imo he was at the ‘point of no return’ a while ago, in terms of he’s fed up, the players are fed up, the motivation has gone. Not easy or even possible to get past that, they’ve been in relegation form for basically all 2019.

Jose to them would be interesting. I think he did do quite well and build his rep back up. They have a talented squad that it probably won’t get much to get them playing well again, half of it will just be a new manager bounce. Jose, in his own way, could relatively easily get top four finishes and probably a trophy are two. Literally any trophy and his legacy is already made that he did what Poch couldn’t do, no matter how unfair it really is.

I'm not convinced that Jose would do well as Spurs manager. Think he's done as an elite manager and that the game has moved on from him although this is his chance to prove that he's still got it.

The likes of Son and Dele Alli better be ready to track back

He'd win them a trophy then implode a season later as is his style

Please don't call him a great manager. That has to be earned and does a disservice to the greats who won the trophies. Martinez won the FA cup at Wigan no one called him great.

It’s a terrible fit. A lot of those players are old and over the hill, especially in their defensive areas. He’ll have to park the bus for most games to get a result.

Very busy with work Soc, I barely get time to come in here these days since I work shifts now. I had dinner with Ruben’s brother in September, he should be back in December from what I know. Kid is so unlucky with injuries though.

Out of TV work now?

I left television back in February. I’ve been working in sales for Avis for 8 months now and I’m much more comfortable with it. Decent commission and it’s 15 mins away from my home.
