Not easy to play against anti-football

Hypocritical media glorifying Newcastle for doing it to be expected

Cant blame newcastle tbh, they are...lets face it...crap. But this hasn't just been a problem against them. Southampton were quite expansiveon the ball but we still couldn't break them down.

We're lacking a creative, inventive central player to nit our attack together and help open up stubborn defences. Seems as clear as daylight to me.

To an extent Barkley played that role against Burnley in a game where we otherwise may well have struggled as we've done too may times before in similar games this season.

Not saying Barkley is the long term solution though, especially as you never really know what kind of performance you're going to get from him. I certainly know who I'd bring in this summer.

As things stand we seem to fall to pieces when teams deny us the space to operate and we become incredibly predictable in our attacking patterns and play.

We're going to have to adapt though as teams are going to play like this against us all the time now, both home and away.

Im a big fan of jorgino but he is no fabregas when it comes to opening teams up.
I can remember that one pass through to tammy against...wolves?cant remember who. But games like saturday he really needs to start opening teams up.

Stayed at PSG too long.
We'll never be getting involved in this.
Rightly so.

Think it was the Watford game where he played a ball over the top and Tammy chipped the keeper.

Jorginho plays far too safe for my liking. A midfield of Kante, Jorginho & Mount isn't working.

Our pattern of play is quite obvious at the moment, mainly down the right hand side through RJ & CHO.

Nothing happening on that left hand side.

With Kovacic & Barkley they at least they try to carry the ball and dribble past players.

We're basically relying on two kids for creation & scoring. RJ & Tammy.

That's a lot of responsibility for guys in their 1st season.

As it stands Lamps talks a good game but actions speak louder than words, we keep having the same problem time after time vs negative / defensive teams he needs to stop talking about the solution and find a solution, quickly

It's frustraiting but this isn't his team either and we are still comfortable in 4th

Hello Newcastle, we've got Marcos Alonso for your wingback position.

Pay up £30m, Alonso is all yours. Surplus to requirements under Frank.
