year bought sold Net
13/14 117.32 69.6 47.72
14/15 123.93 130.33 -6.4
15/16 81.45 78.74 2.71
16/17 119.52 97.56 21.96
17/18 234.45 180.54 53.91
18/19 187.92 64.58 123.34
19/20 40.5 131.09 -90.59
to my reckoning we have 60 - 80m to spend on players this jan as its stands based on previous years and thats not taking into account the current financial performance that was posted where we made a 90m loss
taking all into account As that stands at a very high level kova signing for £40m leaves us breaking even in terms of the financials where hazard was sold
in any case only twice in the last 7 years have we spent over 50m net and relied heavily on player sales to fund our activity
which is why i have never been entirely convinced we can even spend any money at all this year and will rely of cL qualification to set the budgets for the summer
only once did we go over 100m
which is why i have always said that players like Sancho are a pipe dream unless we sell alot of players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How comfortable would you be with the club paying £120m for Sancho?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
me i dont care about the money side
but looking at it, we dont operate in a way that facilitates that kind of signing and we need to be realistic about that
we would have to sell 3 players to sign him basically and whilst doable for sure we limit the other areas we need to strengthen
Frank on Kepa:
"I will always defend all the players, goalkeepers hold their hands up as well. At times he has made good saves, at times he might feel he should do better."

I HAVE THE POWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can start by changing the OP He-Man
Frank on Arsenal's struggles:
"This league is so competitive. I know that they are a good team with good players. There has been a change when Arteta came on, we must be on guard and at our best."
Frank on Arteta's impact:
'Similar. His effect is very quick and sudden, we felt that when we first played them. He will want a lot more time. He is a good coach and he will get time.'
Did you chat to Kepa?
Frank: "I didn’t have a direct conversation with him. I am sensitive to the fact that they are understand the microscope. It is the same for any player. I try to push them, like everyone. He is a good goalkeeper. There have been times that he has saved us points."
"Frank says we can score more goals from all areas of the pitch, including midfield and out wide. He adds as a team we need to improve our conversion rate because we are not struggling to create opportunities."
Absolutely
Rashford injury, a fault of the manager?
Frank: "You can’t criticise a manager for something like that. Hindsight is a beautiful thing. If there is issues you have to make decisions. I have heard managers get slated for playing a second string, and now managers getting slated for playing them in the FA Cup. You can’t have it both ways."
Beg to differ on that one, Frank.
Ole was fully aware that Rashford was playing through a very painful barrier.
Frank on RJ: "He's got an injury to the back of his knee area, not as bad as it could have been. He's in contention for tomorrow but it's going to be a tight call so we're going to give him another 24 hours to see if it settles down."
"It's settled down pretty quickly so far. I won't absolutely count my chickens but hopefully he'll be involved tomorrow. If not, for the weekend."
Reece tomorrow 👐
Kepa
RJ AC Tomo Emerson
Kante Jorgi Kova
Cal Tammy Mount
Tempting.
Lampard very complimentary about Cavani

Frank on Cavani:
'He is a great player. I am not sure what the situation is though. He has experience, but many players are.'
I could stomach a loan but paying a fee for a 33 year old whose contract runs out in 5 months seems really stupid.
That's without taking his wages (350k p/w) which he'll demand, into account.
Cavani would demand that final big contract (probably 3 and a half years minimum).
Atletico might provide that.

What does everyone think of a 3 strike rule? Anyone who is purposely antagonistic or deemed spam worthy, i can filter once they have 3 strikes, for a temporary time?
