Cavani could be useful for Tammy to learn from as he was a fine striker in his Napoli days. I rather it's Cavani then Michy or Giroud.

6 month loan is OK to fill the gap until the summer. Higuain was brought in as a starter so there's a difference this time round. Cavani will be useful in champions league and just to give Tammy a well deserved break here and there.

I can understand the logic short term if we want top 4, he could score us important goals

But I'm not happy we keep having to buy players that should have been here years ago

I think part of why Alonso is poor as a LB is because of pace. When he pushes further forward and we lose possession he can't recover. Our defense then ends up getting dragged wide or overloaded. Less of a problem with 3 CBs

Some of the chances we concede against poorer opposition is due to pushing higher up the pitch and maintaining possession. Once we lose the ball neither of our fullbacks (when Azpi and Alonso are playing) can recover.

Moving Azpi to the right to play James or using Emerson helps with his, though the latter approach seems to be less favored or impactful after Emerson's injury

Cavani won't score goals
Guarantee it

Same as Falcao and higuain and higuain is younger

But then again I think we can only afford a short term fix

Other effect in the match at the beginning when going forward we end up with azpi in loads of space and every cross hits the first man and the move breaks down

We lack invention in the final third we follow the same patterns and lack that spark that can pick a ball

We are alps not ruthless enough at driving at defenders and making them think a little bit which with pulisic and cho we have players who can do that.

Not sure why kova isn't playing either. Hes a great ball carrier in midfield but there does seem to be a bit of a bias towards mount. He's a great player but beciase of his reletive inexperience he can go missing at times.

All theething problems

We need all of our forward players scoring goals really and not lay it all on Tammy /cavani etc

I get he recently had an assist (right?) but having Azpi at LB limits our options in a labored attack. Being right footed hampers any interplay or overlaps. Additionally, I feel that he's not as defensively sound as before so there is little to no advantage to playing him a LB other than allowing for another RB (James) to play.

"Barcelona want to sign a striker this month. Werner is an option" -

Fail in their attempts to sign him this month.

I really want us to sign Werner in the summer but I worry he will struggle up against parked defences every week. Apparently he only thrives in a counter attack system with loads of space.

But then people had similar doubts about Vardy and he’s done brilliantly this season in a different system. So Werner should be able to adapt as well given his quality.

This is the problem when you have failed managers like Roy Keane as pundits.

I think Cavani could be a good signing, certainly in the short term. Higuain was definitely a mistake, the guy is fat and slow and struggled with the speed and intensity of the PL.

Cavani is still agile and quick by comparison and I don't see any good reason why he won't score goals in the PL and in the CL. He'll certainly be a better option in the squad than Giroud and a hardly ever picked Bats.

Points after 22 Premier League games

2019/2020 Liverpool = 64
City centurions = 62
Arsenal invincibles = 52
United treble winners = 41

Fkin insane, and Liverpool haven’t even really played well consistently or hit top gear yet

Headline is misleading as always, nothing Keane said was outlandish him and carragher was going at it

posted on 21/1/20

Carragher was basically saying United need a top experienced manager and Ole isn’t for them and Keane was saying he should be given time etc and called Carragher out for putting Ole down and saying he’s not experienced or big enough for Man United but then backing Lampard and saying how well he’s doing in a similar situation and how inconsistent we have still been this season and have lost 8 out of the last 11 games or whatever yet everybody is praising Lampard but criticising Ole for a similar scenario (win a game lose a game etc)
