Health Secretary Hancock also tests positive
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock has tested positive for the coronavirus. He is self-isolating at home and his symptoms are said to be mild.
3,000 new cases today from 9,000 tests
200 new deaths
But as i said from today we are in the peak of it now, imagine we'll have 3k-5k new cases for the next 20-30 days. Probably 200-400 deaths for the next 20-30 days.
Can expect probably 100k-120k ish cases and 8k-10k ish deaths
Rather have been wrong but pretty much heading exactly as projected, hopefully still comes under my predictions from last week
the best thing realistically would be if we are already 7 days into the peak as opposed to only 1 day. That way we'd only have another really bad 10-20 days as opposed to 20-30

Judging by the fact since 20th march at least 10% of all tests have been positive could well be our peak started 20th march, but will last about 3 weeks. First week slow-ish peak, the next 5-7 days medium sized peak, 5-7 days after a ridiculous surge but then the next 7 days back to medium sized then back to low
just found out Bojo’s fiancée is 32 years old (he’s 55) and he got her pregnant just a couple months ago my guy

Looks more and more like a) China lied about their figures, b) Something weird going on Italy but then Spain is on course to be even worse so can’t really blame the old population
Lockdown making zero difference looks more and more like one of these things you have to let ride its course
Well Over the 14 day Incubation period as well it’s been 17 days so how are they still getting thousands and thousands of new ones each day

I'm not sure why you think China is lying about it's figures, but anyway if you are sceptical on the hardline approach, then look at South Korea.
Italy's increase could be because they are further along exponentially, and their hardline measures came a little late to flatten the curve. Or other areas of the country are now experiencing rapid growth.

I'm not sure why you think China is lying about it's figures, but anyway if you are sceptical on the hardline approach, then look at South Korea.
