You can't just void the season. It would be so unfair on Liverpool who basically have the title won already. It would practically be impossible for Liverpool not to win the title from the position they're in with as many games as they have left to get the required six points.

And that's based on City winning their remaining ten games which they won't. Liverpool could win the title even if they lost their remaining nine games if City lose only two of their last ten games.

Surely the rest of the season just resumes whenever matches can be played again.

Yeah the current covid death rates are a bit like finding the % of a’seholes in the country by only interviewing Utd fans

Interesting article.

According to this expert the death rate could range from 0.125% to 0.625% - the highest estimate would be similar to the H2N2 virus of 1957, which killed around 1.1 million worldwide and over 100,000 Americans.

So I'm not sure if the headline is fair, but it is certainly true that we do not know the scope of the virus as of yet.

Also, it's worth considering that the death rate might be lagging behind the total number infected - at least for some countries. We might see the fatality rate grow when those who are intensive care pass away.

Thats if I'm completely wrong in my understanding of the figures.

I'd recommend looking at the original opinion piece rather than the daily wire

I also think the number of deaths is higher than reported while the mortality rate is lower
