So if Chloe Middleton didn't die of covid 19 then we can surely expect the media to retract all the reports from 4 days ago that she had no pre-existing health conditions and that she definitely died of covid 19.

well they are now saying the youngest confirmed death in UK so far because of covid19 has been 33

I wonder what her family were told. From a brief read it seems the information originated from posts online by her aunt.

Begs another question, how many covid19 related deaths have been misdiagnosed?

And like BK said the bit about the coroner is odd.

According to the latest WHO data published in 2017 Influenza and Pneumonia Deaths in Italy reached 13,823

So add in a slightly higher populations that's about 15,000-16,000 on average a year

Can't find the link but a nurse said this is very real and is a very very bad virus but it is being way overplayed in the media

Surprised we have way over double considering our populations aren't massively different and we have a much younger average population.

Shows how crap our healthcare system is well not crap i mean under funded

daily mail are still using this

In the UK, the youngest healthy victim is 21-year-old Chloe Middleton, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, who died earlier this week.

Even though it's been confirmed she died of a heart attack...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I suppose it is possible to die of a heart attack due to corona virus. If you are drowning in lung fluid I would imagine it is possible to go into cardiac arrest
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It is a common mistake but heart attack =/= Cardiac arrest

Not that I can't believe that there could be misreporting in this case, important to note that the Guardian have now taken that article offline 'pending review', and it is very odd that a coroner would just put 'death to coronavirus' because someone (who?) told the coroner she had a cough. Many more things to consider..if she arrived to hospital needing resuscitation as reported.

A coroner..who's job it is to fully investigate unexpected deaths..just puts 'death to coronavirus' cos some rando told them she had a cough? And in absence of a positive test? Something doesn't add up with that story

How does postgrad training/specialization work for you guys?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
After we graduate you must do two years Foundation Training rotating in different specialties every 3-4 months. After this you’re free to start specialising. I guess in general once you start specialising you will either be on a medical pathway, a surgical pathway, a primary are pathway, an acute care pathway or ‘run through’ programmes (eg. Ophthalmology, Obs and Gynae, Psychiatry, you just go straight into it and stay in specialty all the way through). Either way takes 8-10 years to get to consultant bar few exceptions

Normally you wouldn't call off a match because someone in either team has fallen ill. Similar to injuries, unfortunate but tough luck. Would that approach hold true were games to resume? What if our star player Ross Barkley was unable to play because he caught coronavirus while out getting fish and chips. Would there be reason to delay further in the name of fairness? Pray for Ross.

And of course different competitiveness for each pathway/specialty. Oh and each pathway has an ‘academic’ version, usually, less clinical time, more research time, and you are usually expected to come out with a PhD

Damn. Is medical school equivalent to going to uni or do you have to do uni first?

Interesting interview with journalist Peter Hitchens who discusses the potential danger that some deaths have and are being attributed to covid 19 when maybe they shouldn't and that the person may have just died from the serious underlying condition they already had:

Nah medical school = going to uni, for most medical students here it’s their first undergrad degree, so a lot of first years are 18/19 when they start
