When we went six games under Conte without beating Arsenal, including playing them five times in 2017/18 without winning once I started to feel some of my old Gunners hatred emerge.

You know, I start supported Chelsea in 2000 and they went 13 games over five years without beating Arsenal. They were knocked out in the FA Cup by them FOUR SEASONS IN A ROW!

It was horrendous, but then we turned the corner with Drogba and aside from isolated periods I have not thought much about them since.

I would even go as far as saying I find them tolerable with Arteta at the helm and all their young players.

That's why the Bridge goal in the CL was extra special

Since the AFTV era I've found it difficult to find much spite towards Arsenal anymore. They've delivered too much entertainment over the years.

Spurs - it is just their fans and their current crop of players. Dier and Dele Alli in particular. I don't care much about their club aside from that.

It normally is to do with the fans. I really respect Liverpool's team but I just dislike nearly all their fans and their sense of entitlement, and the fawning they get in the media and with pundits (even when they are sheite).

Liverpool deserve the league, after thirty years and a Chinese bloke eating a bat to dilute victory, but so many of their fans are fundamentalist freaks, in the football sense.

wonder if Liverpool drawing today will work out well for us.

They can no longer achieve the perfect home record over the season, but now if they want the points record winning becomes extra important

if I ever had kids (sons or daughters) i’d probs unashamedly just try and get them into football as much as possible.

None of my family are interested in footy, so I’ve always watched games on my own. Spreading my seed and indoctrinating them will be the best way to create my perfect football buddy

You make a relevant point, as I always say I lived in London from 86 and followed Chelsea,, before Roman...so it's there.

With Chelsea, it's not like a local fan base too, imo...if you think about it in London.

On the Wayne Bridge goal - this was pre-smartphones, pre-WiFi, and before we had a consistently reliable overseas phone service that didn't cost a bomb.

So, I missed the game as I was in Florida and no US news were covering it and it wasn't in the papers and our hotel didn't have computers.

I found out we won three days later when we flew to North Carolina and my Aunt let us use her computer to check the Chelsea website!

Even back in 2009 when I was on holiday in the US, staying in a hotel I had to turn on ESPN and wait for the scoreline thing at the bottom of the screen to flick through headlines/results. Took like half an hour to find out about the 4-4 Liverpool CL result

Yeah back when I started supporting I had to look at the back page lower left corner of the paper for the results. It was a couple years before I actually got to watch games.

Liverpool have looked par since becoming champions, understandably so.

hes pretty bored tbh. I expect him to leave asap.

Clubs were alphabetical order with arsenal up first. Thought the name and badge were kinda cool so became an arsenal supporter for maybe 6 secs.
