Just saw the disallowed Laca goal today, which was another VAR BS decision. Feels like deliberate sabotage at this stage.

Yeah, I didn't agree with it. People will say we had the whole game to make up for it, but most games are won or lost on such fine margins.

We've got our own Ozil 👀

Could argue we have two actually. Let's see how Hakim does when he gets to start games.

I mean you literally lost by one goal lol. So it makes a pretty material impact on the result.

Drinkwater is the waste of space high earner version of Ozil
Havertz and Ziyech are the ones with similar strengths/weaknesses on the pitch.
We just need a controversial political figure at the club to complete the trifecta. Bring back Anelka and his questionable goal celebrations.

In fairness I think our set piece defending has improved slightly. Small sample size though and probably just jinxed it.

Ffs we have Burnley next.
Yeah well no one really mentions that enough
Drink drive killer on our payroll
With Alonso it was a one off incident back when he was a youth player, long before he joined us. In my opinion drink driving is one of the worst things anyone can do, but I try not to think about that incident. The club/fans/sponsors overlook it as well, even if opposition fans bring it up sometimes. I get your point but that's a different kind of controversial.
With Ozil it's different as it's incidents that have occurred recently. The club have distanced themselves from him due to criticising China and being pals with Erdogen. Feels like they don't want to upset sponsors or whatever.
It is hard to think about one of our players killing a teenage girl and having Madrid bail him out of it
Maybe I'm making presumptions there
Maybe Im right
not just Madrid bailing him out; it was his friend who died and her parents didn't want to press any charges against him.

Here I dont think it would have mattered given the nature of how the CPS prosecutes

I think Havertz has ok work rate and defensive contribution. Laziness isn't really the main weakness I would say he shares with Ozil. More like being a ghost in certain difficult games, struggling when opponents press him, susceptible to losing the ball too easily. He has plenty of time to improve in those aspects at least. If he does, he might play as an 8 more often.

One of the reasons I'm so against drink driving in today's world in particular is how it makes no sense to me.
You have apps like Uber to take care of all that with such little inconvenience. For rich people especially the cost is nothing at all.
And even aside from that, it's so avoidable from the start. If you know you're going to drink at an event, then don't drive there in the first place. Have travel arrangements for before and after sorted in advance.
Conversely, if you know you're driving to get somewhere, don't drink while you're there. You can't complain about being too drunk to make a rational decision on whether or not you should drive, when the fact that you're driving means you can't allow yourself to be drunk in the first place.
People make bad decisions all the time and regret them after. But at least those are more like mistakes. Meanwhile drink driving is not a mistake at all; it's a very deliberate decision because you plan for it before you even start drinking.
Eh you dont have uber in the countryside
Its common af in rural areas with low numbers of police cars and like a 15 minute drive to the pub
I've only seen his highlight real at Leverkusen and all of those involved him doing nice things in and around the box. I think he's doing fine at those things for us so far.
I think his weaknesses are common with most number 10s to be honest, which is why the position/role in general is becoming increasingly obsolete.
There's also the whole adapting to the PL thing. Kai himself has talked about the speed and physicality being tougher than expected.

you've answered it yourself though. Don't drive to the pub in the first place. Or if you do, don't drink at the pub.
It's not difficult.
plus there's a clear legal limit, so when you're there you'll know full well if you're over or under it. It's not like you can accidentally have more than you realised. After 1 drink you should still be fully capable of realising that.
