Hope they aren’t just settling for Tuchel if they preferred someone else. It would make sense to part ways with Frank so the new manager has half a season to settle and assess before the transfer window. Also helpful since next pre season will also be affected with the summer tournament so meeting the players for the first time at that point wouldn’t be ideal.

But Tuchel? After allegedly turning their nose up at him several times?

He went to PSG when we were chatting to him the first time, i think he was considered ahead of Sarri at one point.

Damn, it’s all happening.

I feel sad. Tuchel was one of the names I was bigging up so hopefully he can improve the structure of the team.

My gut reaction is mixed but more in favour it’s a bit harsh/early. The confidence I had that Lampard could take us to be a title challenging team went but the way this season is going I’m sure we would be able to get back to some form soon and probably still be in the top four race. And we probably do ‘owe’ it to Frank to give him until the end of the season..right?

On the other hand if the right manager became available then I can see why the sacking might have to be done. Is Tuchel the guy? Although others aren’t too excited by him I actually quite like his CV 😅 in fact I think it’s most rounded of all available managers. He mixes both a defined style of play, use of youth players and experience managing title challenging teams. He seems that he’s built a reputation of being combustible, falling out after 2-3 years. But so does Conte - if Tuchel could get us to be performing at the top for 2 years that could be great.

So yeah I dunno. Maybe the board were worried Tuchel had other offers.

And people wonder why we are all plastics and can’t enjoy football anymore
