James has played RCB many times before for club and country...at youth level. Suits him a lot better than wingback

& not unless Havertz plays as a forward. Which could actually work in tangent with Werner
Werner runs in behind, Havertz drops deep. Could make it very difficult for the oppositions defensive line.

I really liked the Havertz and Mount midfield three idea though if Tuchel is brave enough.

Covid, new league, new country, poorly managed, played out of position, injuries.

Happy to give him a season to adjust etc but next season we've gotta see more from him

Few interesting thoughts on Twitter I’ve read today theorising that TT, especially with his history of not sticking to one formation, may change the formation in the upcoming weeks.

They reckon he went 5 at the back to first and foremost be more solid defensively and playing out, but that now we’ve got good results under the wing, could progress to be a bit more expansive four at the back.

Reasonable suggestions, will be interesting to see how we line up against Barnsley.

I found the Werner knocking pass the keeper a bit weird, most people knock it front of them and then get the foul.

Same, probably wasn’t aware how close the covering CB was. But touch also looked a little bit heavy

Can't see Barnsley offering a lot on Thursday...they gained 2 points & scored 3 goals in 5 league games in January, although they played some decent sides to be fair, but did beat Norwich & Tranmere in the cup

That said, we need to approach it with the right mind set, & not be complacent.

Winning the FA Cup would please me immensely this term....still annoyed at that shat last year

There was also a massive increase in output from him in the second half of last season compared to the first.

Here’s hoping

Apparently he did better last season after moving to a more advanced position, like a false 9

We got Newcastle next in the league and they've got so many injuries to defenders and Wilson will be out too.

All of their CBs are showing as injured or doubtful - Lascelles, Schar, Fernandez and Clark.

We should score 9
