Not that bothered about the offside goal, we got the win that’s all that matters. These tight calls have been going for and against us recently. I mean we got away with penalty calls in both of our last 2 games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
U have to look at the circumstances though. Kante I agree with, could easily have been a pen however werners goal should have counted so even. The Hudson odoi one should never have got to that situation as it wasn’t a foul by mount that led to the free kick the handball occurred after

Definitely not all that matters. Couldve kick started Werner the poor guy.
Also earlier in the season calls like this have killed off games for us. Heads drop and teams run rampant over us.
Like has been said there's no outrage. There was no 5 min check to make sure they got it right. Nobody cares today but us. Even Liverpool fans know that was a joke
You'd be having a fit today if Mount didn't save us.
I certainly don’t think we got away with two penalty calls. Think we shouldn’t start with that narrative. We are usually hard done by in comparison to the utds and Liverpool’s of the world
Same thing in regards to the cho handball and maguire dragging down azpi in the reverse fixture. One was swept under the carpet

Shouldve taken place regardless. I'm anti-var
Plus they can't even get calls right with that tech in place. Ridiculous. Just use goal line tech and call it a day.
VAR is fine if
1) It doesn't take a fackin age to get a decision
2) It gets the right decision
3) The hand ball & offside rules are corrected
1. It does
2. It doesn't always (especially when we are involved)
3. Will it ever?
If offsides have to require zooming in and drawing in lines, then give advantage to the attacker.
Same in the cricket earlier...Pant who went on to a ton, should have been out on 30, hawkeye showed the bails being hit on England's review but it was umpires on field decision as not out
Rule is more than half of the bails need to be getting hit by the ball...it was less than half...we are talking about half of the width of a cricket ball...needs to be the same as goal line tech...i'e all of the ball over the line
I realise this is going straight over your head RtM...so to speak

1) It probably always will - i'll live with that
2) in general, it's right (last nights went by current rules)
3) This is the crux of the problem...you can't score with your arm, they need to readdress what's offside

In saying all this...the cricket get's it right...the above needs a rule change

This is so simple and easy to recognize and address that it leads me to believe they don't want it to be fixed.

I think the Werner goal would have been the talking point if it had been 0-0, we would have got another round of VAR debates,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fractionally offside should equate to Goal, imo.
Unless against us, obvs
VAR kills goals tho. Even goals I know are onside I don't fully celebrate because they've been know to call it back for some infraction 4 mins before. Sucking the passion and free feeling happiness out of games.
Idk the example I come back to is Fernandinho deliberately blocking the ball on the line with his hand.
If not for VAR he would have gotten away with it, we wouldn’t have beaten City and I think we would have finished 5th. I know you can point to other games with bad ref decisions or calls against us, but Fernandinho literally cheated intentionally and would have been justified if not for the video ref.
Main issue is the handball and offside rules. If they don’t fix and clarify those, I don’t think VAR or no VAR will really help either way.
I think lifting the ball in the box next to a very close defender in an attempt to hit the arm is just about as bad a cheat as diving.
I don't feel that way as its playing to the existing rules
Attackers get cheap corners all the time knocking it off defenders if they are stuck near the by-line
The rules need changing if they are easy to exploit like that in a negative way, its not on the players
