I think the Werner goal would have been the talking point if it had been 0-0, we would have got another round of VAR debates,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fractionally offside should equate to Goal, imo.
Unless against us, obvs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Indeed
My main beefs are that it is killing spontaneous joy. I never cheer goals these days.
And secondly VAR seems to be about removing goals more than granting them.
Both these factors will have long term ramifications for the sports popularity. Needs to be resolved.

Cheating the ref and getting away with stupid shet for me is part of the entertainment of football. The game needs more Diego Costa’s not James Milner’s. VAR encourages the latter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never once thought of any sport in this way.

Main issue is the handball and offside rules. If they don’t fix and clarify those, I don’t think VAR or no VAR will really help either way.

Interesting side, personally I think Kante and Alonso will play.
Also Havertz needs game time before his probable start v Atletico - Mount and Jorginho suspended for that game - so I think there is an outside chance he starts.
Kante should start. The more game he plays the better IMO. Finally starting to find some form again.
I think Kepa could make a random appearance.
If Silva’s fit he should play. Hard to justify Ziyech, Pulisic or Havertz starting, but our attack would look a lot better if at least one starts performing.
Kepa has Sheffield United in the cup to make his random appearance. Hopefully Tuchel won't be generous beyond that.
I think we will start to see Pulisic and Havertz get starts in the front three more.
Would probs start Pulisic in the next game
Ziyech has had enough starts lately. Admittedly in his last game he was a bit better
Wouldn’t mind Havertz getting another chance. Can’t play any worse than he did at Goodison out of position. And we need to rotate some of the players and have a number of attackers we can trust.

Werner Mount
up front and seeing if it works

I'd like to see this tried at some point. Not sure if now is the right time though. Havertz is going to need to be reintroduced carefully and at the right time.
Im thinking of it as a long term play trying to build them into our starting attack. Especially if Haaland is a no go
Put up a Mount thread so everyone can praise him appropriately
